I'm an independent, but I've never voted anything other then democrat, I'm on democratic party mailing lists and I received a message about this ad being a 'campaign ad'....honestly that a link was not provided is clear evidence that they didn't want me to see this....after ACTUALLY looking at it, rather then jumping on board and signing a petition against it, his name is featured for 3 seconds, following which it is not mentioned again, and the rest of the ad is for the website entirely.
This ad is no different then countless other PSA's found in Florida throughout the states history. We are constantly inundated with the names of our standing politicians. If the democratic party of Florida wants to call McCollum out on this they need to call out the entire practice, not just the "disgusting republican" most recently taking part in it.
If he is your friend . Explain to him that a state attorney general fights for consumer rights, for the average person not only corporations. He should learn what his job is but since he is such an extremist right winger I doubt he cares . He should learn from Elliot Spitzer when he was NY attorney general. Granted not the nonsense that got him kicked out of office but the fights he fought for the citizens .

I think he will use anything to get votes but thats normal for any politician-state official lol. However the state is not as conservative as it used to be and he will be beaten if the Dems run a pro consumer candidate.
I think he is honest but as far as working for average person vs corporations he sides with corporations or at min is reluctant to side with consumers. He will only carry the extreme right wing vote as even moderate Reps I know want him out.
