@sshukri0 Probably. I always ventilate while hot wire cutting. You're not supposed to use hot wire cutters with urethane foam. It's really toxic. Supposedly, polystyrene fumes aren't nearly as toxic. That's what they say.

@awesomecheat You really don't need one. Just leave several feet of wire hanging out from the the bottom and hook up a 12volt battery or charger. Slide the alligator clip along the wire to adjust heat. .023" stainless mig welding wire works well. I use this for building home aircraft parts from foam. Instead of a weak aluminum support, make it strong, or suspend from ceiling and hang a weight from the bottom. Works very well. I cut foam several inches thick with my setup.

I found a eaiser way. Take an old power supply. Connect 1 wore from a brake cable to the 5+ and ground. Viola! For some fun connect it up to the +12 v and the wore will melt away
