You seemed to miss the point about guitars and pick-ups. Your strings vibrate, the pick-ups translate the vibrations into electronic signals which are then translated by your amplifier again, which causes the speakers to vibrate. Voila, sound! But it definitely isn't the SAME sound which came from your guitar. It is an electronic version of those sounds

I love digital music but I can't play the piano and am horrible with mixing software, but I CAN play guitar. They're an amazing concept and the execution seems excellent.
