  • I LOVE KABA MODERN.....LIST OF SONGS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....HOPE YOU COME TO THE PHIL.

  • this was not that good compared to all the other vibe performances

  • LOOOL at Jonah's Liberace moment. =D

  • ey yo! wat's da 2nd song they danced 2?! it was a rap

  • THAT WAS SO COOOOOOOLL...... I LOVE LOVE IT... IVE NEVER SEEN KABA MODERN LIKE THIS.. THEY'RE REALLY FLEXIBLE DANCERS.. THEY ARE ALL TALENTED.. I REALLY MISSED KABA MODERN FOR JABA AND KABA ARE MY BETS IN ABDC.....

  • whats the song that starts at 1:37

  • @pspfreak153 Song is Hot and Fun by N.E.R.D feat Nelly Furtardo (Boyz Noize Remix)

  • any one could know the music they used ??? tnx !

  • cee lo part was great! :D loved the freakum dress!!!!

  • cee lo part was great! :D

  • lol mad drama beneath this vid.

Yeah, KM changed their style, but I think it's interesting in its own right. Course, we all love Mike, Tony, and Jia, but these new KM dancers are dope as f too.

  • Best dressed crew. :)

  • Songs and Choreographers in order:

    1. "S&M"- Jonah Aki and Darina Littleton

    2. "Broke Ni***" - Darina Littleton

    3. "Hot N Fun (Boys Noize Main Remix)" - Darren Wong (Unable to perform due to injury)

    4. "Forget You"- Alex Hung

    5. "Burning" - Shawn Duong

    6. Popping Piece- Shawn Duong and DJ Casis

    7. "Freakum Dress"- Jonah Aki

  • shawns a beast.

  • i would like to point out that there is no wacking nor vogueing in this entire set.

  • I've said this about their most recent performances on other videos: I miss the older Kaba modern pieces. There was something drawing and intriguing about doing the slower sets. This is completely a fast-paced, dance-can't-stop set, which in its own right, was good. But it's not of the smooth, slick variety of the previous KM shows. I know the group is led by a whole slew of new leaders but if the dances were less about wacking and voguing, I'd be in love again...

  • @19eightythree just search up KM Legacy.

  • @tagger96706 Oh, I've followed Legacy for that reason, but they're made up of dancers from any generation. Individually, they're great to watch but together it's not at the same intensity when they were KM.

  • eh...ive seen them do better

  • thats the worst piece of chroeo ive seen in a while .....

  • @aqmatthews fuck off bro!

  • Overall, I think KM's performances are much more interesting than KM Legacy's. If it weren't for Mike Song, KM Legacy really wouldn't be that great... :\

  • HOLY F*CK

    that shit was hot!

    damn impressive

  • song @ 4:24 = Kill The noise - kill kill kill

  • is that guy saying gay at the end

  • Oh lord is that Yuri in that sexy outfit??????

  • Loved every beat loved every move

  • I loved the locking part to F*ck you.

    The execution was clean.

The 4 part formation (center solo/duet, left, right, center back) was amazing. I especially like the idea of having a center back formation. So, great.

  • i love watching the girl in the front center for opener (katie?) hot and executes so well

  • @paulyang1 same here :)

  • Hot start :3

  • darina is my favorite.

  • that black girl (i think her name is darina) she always bringing the energy to this new kaba team...i think shes the dopest female dancer on this squad *cindy minowa will always be my favorite tho lol*

  • what song did shawn doung use in his piece!!

  • havent checked the whole routine but imma thumbs up this video up :3

  • FRESH!

  • what's the title of the second song??

  • @alphamatikaz

Broke Niggas - Wes Nyle ft. Tiaa C.

    followed by:

NERD - Hot n Fun (Boys Noize Remix)

  • @Kstylistic

thanks! You made my day. :D

  • @Dannyboi866 LOL u just made yourself sound like a DUMBASS!! Pretty immature to come back with a reply like that when the truth about you is already out there from facts from your own comment. Sounds like someone has an ego problem and just can't stand being called out. @DanceAllOut13 - with you all the way man.

  • @YoMomma6454 I really thought about replying again, somethign a little bit more educated than what you're replying with, but then i saw your username.

  • What was the first song please?

  • @rjay0612 Rihanna - S&M

  • This were like a broadway show!! nice!! Jonah aki killed it!!! kudos to everyone!!

  • i seriously don't get why they didn't place at all.

  • @UconDooet. your partially right on alot. actually arnel has nothing to do with the locking. its just self training. Alot of people from Modern go to Homeland in Long Beach and we practice and session our popping and locking. etc

  • i really really really love the locking part.

the "feel" and execution was just great.

i usually like it a lot when kaba would do locking to unusual music, even though the feeling/groove does get lost when they do that.

this time though... I LOVE IT.

Oh yeah, and i really like the whole set, i didn't get bored watching though usually pieces that are this long usually have boring parts.

This one doesn't have that (for me).

  • @3Wonka actually KM is the only team out there that doesnt get help from anyone outside of their team. Nowadays, many teams hire outside choreographers 4help and/or they have help from their leaders that also happens to be a professional. (Ex: Choreo cookies with Mariel and Keone) Pesonally, I think thats not fair cuz they don't give the new kids a chance to grow and experience things that they deserve. So yea anyways, Arnel really has no help with their locking besides probably inspiring them.

  • @UconDooet there is no such thing as unfairness in these competitions. i doubt that teams hire outside choreographers. and also keone and mari have been on cc before they were "professional." for the most part, everyone does these competitions for the art of dancing and to have fun they don't care about winning.

  • wow every team has that token blonde white girl now

kinda cool IMO lol it adds diversity and a different view on the team

    Lizzy set the bar hahaha

  • I really love them

    GO KABA!!!

  • I think their routine is better then choreo cookies.... I mean their routine is pretty amazing makes, it makes me wanna dance....

  • so props to kaba for that! i really do love the locking choreo! you dont usually see these often in performances, and kaba did it so clean and cool! damm

  • damm i saw a popping session, voguing session, locking session, and regular hip hop choreo! they all are really good choreos, and i mean REALLY good (my fav is the locking session) but in someways it took away a bit from the performance. The transitioning from different style and different genre songs into the next choreo kinda throws off the mood of the last choreo and that sort of throws off the performance in a way.Nevertheless itis pretty difficult to transition from different style of dance

  • i never get tired of kaba modern and their sets. there's something about them that just sets them apart.

  • OMG!!!.this is one of my favorite kaba modern set. i already watched some of their performance, but this piece is different from previous sets that they did. the choreography was so creative and this is the 1st time that i saw them used a lot of costumes..nice job KM!!!. :)

  • danceallout13 - 'WORD!"

Will Ortega (Socal dancer and a HUGE fan of KABA MODERN since 2002)

  • shawn duong! ♥

  • WOOOOOO KABA...mann that locking piece takes me back...

    eff so sickkkk in generall

one slide by. Great talent like this must not be mistreated. If any of you feel offended by this comment, I apologize in advance. But if you’re one of those who are ignorant AND bring negativity to the world, then I just need you to shut up so the world can be a better place without you. & please, don’t reply back & try to elongate this conversation. My statements will remain the same & true regardless. So please, stop the negativity. This will be my first and only comment. Thank you

  • 6/7

something else negative for their own entertainment. Hence tabloids, news, YouTube comments, etc.

@dannyboi866 – I’m sure you already know this but “I didn’t like their style anymore” just shows your incapability in understanding another artistry. And Umm.. theres no whacking routine in there… I think someone needs to do their homework before bringing negativity to the world.

Well I feel pretty damn ashamed for actually replying to comments. But I just couldn’t let this

  • @DanceAllOut13 Im talking about their past routines -_-

Incapability in understanding artistry...your gonna state something like that from one comment...A comment the both expresses my positive and negative opinions of their performance...

Your a dumbass,I fuckin loved kaba modern, but all i said is i lost their way with their style.

And i know how hard it is to dance,i know the comlpications and work it takes,so mind if you keep your fanboy comments to yourself

a Kaba fan. I’m a fan of this community. It is a commonly known fact that the potential of one’s growth is significantly higher when being fed with positivity and the correct approach with guidance. Perhaps you’re not really a part of this community and that is why you don’t really understand the beauty of this community. We are all love, faith, and belief. Yes they compete against each other- but if you c them at competitions, they’re nothing but love. The outsiders usually like to create

Its just more things to enjoy in life! These styles are known to be the foundation of hip hop dance and they say that if you can master it all, then you can do ANY style of dance. Whats crazy is that you’ll notice many dancers in Kaba are dancing all the styles. Versatility is incredibly impressive than being able to do just one or two things.

@redmangoose182 -I think the way you c our dance community is all wrong. You are exactly the type of people we are trying to eliminate.I’m not just

  • 3/7

own new/fresh styles as well. You must be bored because you’re still young to the dancing scene and have not learned to appreciate different dance styles yet. There are many that start with one style of dance and they’re so in love with their style that they think other styles aren’t as cool. Try training in these styles and you’ll understand the creativity and the feeling these styles give you and others around you. Imagine, if you have the ability to see and appreciate all dance styles.

things that only make them look like a fool.

@ChickenDinos -If the “format” that you speak of is having each element of hip hop (locking, whacking/punking, breaking, popping, house) as a routine or a collaboration of the styles into a routine.. then yes, I agree that Kaba has always been the only team that can legitly hold it down years after years. Some teams try but the authenticity is not there. Not only do they have these important foundational styles of hiphop but they bring their

  • @DanceAllOut13 yea that's true their locking is so much different from other teams that do it... i guess the locking is because of the direct link to arnel

  • @3wonka actually its because alex hung has done his homework.

  • 1/7

First off, this is by far my favorite Kaba set! Theres always something about them that shines on stage that no other team has. I don’t know what it is, but its just the feeling they give you when you watch them. Kaba has always been this way& I’ve watched all these teams in this community (live- on & off stage) since 03. When I saw Kaba’s performance live this year, I was blown away & I wanted to see it again online. Then I find out there are still ignorant people that comments negative

  • Does anyone knoe why they split to 2 groups : Kaba Modern and KM Legacy, is it the same of the Kaba Modern nam or they r different?

  • @ninuna

nope, actually they are on the same team. Correct me if I'm wrong but the people who dance at Kaba Modern are the ones who are still in College, and after they have graduated they'll be dancin' at KM Legacy. I think? and they also have the so called "KM 6". Wherein these people competed in the ABDC. why KM 6? coz there were only 6 persons who competed during that season.

  • @alphamatikaz thanks for your infomation so much ^^, i knew that they re one team, but i usually see them perform with 2 names then i got a question so ^^

  • Kaba Modern ladies are always HOT and SEXY, i luv their choreography a lot....

  • great job KABA! props to my boy alex for the dope locking set. glad i finally got to see it clearly. proud of you homie. hahaha now start sessioning again

  • @Blaowser or should i say "alpha hung"

  • @Blaowser haha i actually haven't done alphas in a long time. i should start using them more, think of some bomb shit :D

  • (cont.)

I just think that people can at least express an opinion whether it be dislike or just constructive criticism without getting bashed by the fans when it comes to the dance community.

We should learn to respect opinions, unless it's flat out trolling which sounds something along the lines of "OMG, K4ba M0dern is the sux now!."

It keeps the competitive spirit alive.

  • so hot,love you KM

  • Gah i love Kaba!!! Props to you guys for all those costume changes and even some on stage! crazy! CG loves you guys!! Way to kill it!! :)

  • THIS SET WAS KICK ASS IT WAS NOT LIKE KABA'S OTHER SETS THEY CAME HARD AND FINISHED HARD ENERGY WAS ON FIRE THERE TIMING WAS GOOD COSTUMES SEXY ! THEY DANCE WITH PASSION !!!! RESPECT THAT IF YOU THINK THEY ARE BORING THEN DONT COMMENT IT !!!! JUST WATCH A CLICK OFF IT NO NEED TO DISRESPECT THERE HARD WORK!

  • @DANCE437

I'm not disrespecting their work, nor am I saying it was bad, they're always good. However, I know Kaba is capable of more. Progress is not created from contented people.

  • @ChickenDinos lol okay but say if you worked hard to put a set together and you worked your ass off and then performed your ass off then you watch your video online and read comments saying it was boring it wasn't kaba's best set they can do better etc) that is nice to see is it? there are ways of putting a point across more appropriately.

  • @DANCE437

I don't know. I think he was already pretty generous with his comment.

It wasn't like he was flat out disrespecting them or anything.

When you look at it, the dance community is pretty devoid of criticism..which is a good thing.

You look at sports, emceeing, or any other form of 'art' or 'sport' out there and every other person who has an opinion is usually a hater or someone that just expresses a lot disapproval for it.

  • 00:59 - 02:03 fav part

  • one of my favorite kaba sets!!! :)

  • heyy guys who are that black girl behind at 0:50? she definitelly ROCKS!!!

    - Adi -

  • I've followed Kaba's performances for awhile now and have always admired and deeply respected their choreography. However, I'm getting tired of seeing the same format over and over since their Body Rock 2009 performance. I was hoping Vibe XVI would be different, that they would evolve, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We get it, Jonah is fierce, Darina has swag, Sean is well, amazing & the new edition of Alex was refreshing, but quite frankly, I'm bored.

  • @ChickenDinos I think there is just one thing you have to understand is, each choreographer has their own style and it's not going to change from competition to competition. i agree that the format tends to be similar but it was what was best for the set, it just worked. Kaba does evolve, every year with each old member that leaves, and with each new member that joins. I hope you look forward to a very different Kaba come the next dance competition.

  • WHAT IS SONG 04:36 PLEASE

  • @gamanzone look up kill the noise - kill kill kill

  • OMG LOOK AT HIM he'z so fiierce wait for it wait for it NOW !!! no NOW yes !!! SHABLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM !!!!

  • @dannyboi866 ii hate thiis comment but i agree wiith u !!!! :P

  • haha sick, felt like KM had two different vibes.
