  • What if you listen to good music like Yusuf Islam??

  • @chaimaaJBgirl there's no good music and bad music, Music is Haram and if you are praising Prophet with music, know that it will only be an insult to the prophet as sahih bukihari narrates that 'there will be a group of people who will make music lawful' although it was unlawful since prophet's time

  • omg why people cant understand it? music with good meaning (qiraat, nasheed etc. is not haram. even if u sing nasheed with rock guitar. u'll be closer to god. and of course music with bad meaning is haram...

  • I f I listen music it gives me depression, anxiety headache.. for me its very harm

  • Music is part of life.Human beings do like to listen to music. It gives peace and sometimes make us relax..Why it is "Haram"? Dance,Music etc are "BUILT-IN" characters of Humans..From the very start--Humans dance when they are happy..Sing and enjoy. If God doesn't like it then why he made us like this at the first place? What is the logic,eh?

  • @auzer1000 hi, Music is not a part of the human beings, and its doesn't give peace at all, i see allot of people who listen to music they think they can handle the whole world because of some foolish text by the singers, its like drugs, you can't say its a part of humans, because drugs make you sick and can kill you after you use it, and the people who use it will say the same you said about music it give peace for that moment but does it really? the answer is no it doesn't.

  • @auzer1000 (part1)

By that same argument, you could say that anger, greed, envy, etc are "built-in" characteristics of human beings. In fact, if you looked all around you, you might also suggest that the inclination to murder is a natural part of human existence. Does that mean we should follow that inclination?

Music does have an impact on the human being; the impact is generally a simple emotional response. There is generally very little positive impact on the heart and mind.

  • @auzer1000 (part2)

Your logic is so weak, yet it seems to be a common criticism that comes up in regards to religion. Apparently, if something is present in the world, God must have wanted us to be engrossed in it!

In Islam, we say that Allah has created this world only as a test. In it are certain things which may seem appealing, but on close evaluation, are actually destructive.

Music is something that becomes and obsession, and only distracts one from spirituality.

  • @auzer1000 (part3) Your argument mimics the ridiculous arguments of so many: If God didn't want us to participate in/ do ________, why did he give us that

People say, why did God give us drugs/alcohol if he didn't want us to use them; why would he give us sexual organs if he didn't want us to have sex with whoever we want. The list goes on.

But again, you could argue, why has God allowed us to rape/murder if he didn't want us to!

  • @auzer1000 (part4)

We are living in a world where people only seek to fulfill their desires.

"Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah ? Then will you not be reminded?" (45:23)
