I just told someone the same shit Just Blaze said here yesterday. We used to have to make fire from sticks or striking two rocks to make sparks. houses were lighted by way of lamps. food had to be cooked on wood stoves, before there were cellphones and pagers you needed a pocket full of quarters to make calls. What it's made on or where the sample came from shouldn't matter that much to the ear lobes. a dope song is a dope song, a dope dj set is a dope dj set.
i can see what blaze is saying...cause i make sampled beats(not like kanye baze or 9th) and i just look for names to sample and buy a shit load of ther songs to hear and sample them on....fl :(...but i got an MPD to play my chops but still now i feel like shit by getting samples on the internet
i sample kinda heavy, but i do it digitally because i cant afford a MPC...and its a real big tease because my parents have a whole mountain of vinyl. lol
Keep doing yo thang homie. You will soon have enough for that MPC. I have 2 now. Keep up your skills and that MPC will be up for grabs before you know it. Just save a little here and there. No rush.
i think Just B is right tech. is not cheating it serves its purpose as for the means of making things easier...who ever says CDJ's are cheaters just go ahead and take off ipods and CD players and lets go back 2 the 40s,50s,60,s70s,80s, and the early 90s and lets all listen 2 vinyl! go ahead...replace that roll button pad of that iopd and pick up that needle and place it on the space in between the tracks on a record. Appreciate people
That's true about Vinyl vs Digital but for real music lovers there are some albums that are not available online & some that can ONLY be obtained through vinyl
@ProLit i agree

Now there's the NI Maschine, which is the new digitally enhanced version of the MPC, It's like how Just Blaze said, technology is shifting.
