Ever wonder why you see ads on TV every day with photos and videos of abused animals asking for help to save them, but you NEVER see a video like this? Animals have stronger supporters than children.......... That's pretty sad,

This family lived not 10 miles from us. For a mother to harm her children - and not herself, is an indication of selfish attention. Her husband and his (almost immediate) new wife now live around the corner from us. Andrea was not insane. I believe it was an effort to punish her husband. God bless those little angels. As the oldest of six children, and a mother who was physical and mentally abuse, we were always afraid of her ability to hurt or even kill us - to show my father her wrath.

I was abused (sexually and physically) when I was around 3 years old. If someone ever dares to touch my child I would probably end in jail, because I would kill him/her.
Andrea Yates was a very unwell woman who should have received support and understanding before it ended in this tragedy. Where was her husband when she was struggling with severe depression, lack of support and five kids. She didn't deserve the vilification she received. Shame on the USA for punishing a desperately unwell woman who was failed by the system and letting this happen.

This family lived not 10 miles from us. For a mother to harm her children - and not herself, is an indication of selfish attention. Her husband and his (almost immediate) new wife now live around the corner from us. Andrea was not insane. I believe it was an effort to punish her husband. God bless those little angels. As the oldest of six children, and a mother who was physical and mentally abuse, we were always afraid of her ability to hurt or even kill us - to show my father her wrath.

I am a Bailbondsman and the saddest thing is that they will arrest a Mother for standing 10 feet away from her child in a mall and another one for allowing her 10 year old to ride a bike 1 St. over INSIDE a gated community but, they keep giving TRULY abused kids back to people who do things like this. Andrea Yates was a very unwell woman who should have received support and understanding before it ended in this tragedy. Where was her husband when she was struggling with severe depression, lack of support and five kids. She didn't deserve the vilification she received. Shame on the USA for punishing a desperately unwell woman who was failed by the system and letting this happen.

This made me incredibly sad..Andrea Yates did not abuse her children, but because of her mental illness she drowned her children. She had a mental plot on what sh was doing therefore knew she was killing them. How can some people be so selfish and behave like wild animals. I have a 10 month old and a 7 year old and would kill anyone that touched either one of them. This has got to stop. RIP Little Angels You may now rest in the peace that you weren't given on earth.

Charity/help begins at home, begin by being kind to every child you know, every person and living creature you know and come across. Even small animals and flying bugs and insects. Show your respect to all life, and you'll influence children to grow up to be kind to their children, etc. That's what I'm doing, personally.

Child abuse is horrendous, using Andrea Yates and her kids does not help the cause. Andrea was severely sick. She should never have been left alone with those children, the death of those children is not the fault of Andrea's, it is on the hands of the adults who pretended everything was ok and went on with life as business as usual. Andrea did not commit child abuse, her psychosis did. Horrendous situation for sure.
