dude, can you post some detail on how you attached the overhead strap without the additional accessories. i recently bought a Fenix headband (still waiting in the mail for it), but i'd lik to do the mod you did. Post how!

I have the same headband, and I like it. The battery case is crap, but I think it is designed to counterweight a larger flashlight if you use something like an LD20.  I don't use it, or the overhead band. How well has yours survived a year of use?

why do you need the overhead band anyway?

well for some headlamps that have a small light on the horehead, it won't really matter. but since this holds a flashlight, that strap prevents the lamp from sliding down on your face. ESPECIALLY if you choose to use the battery case and whatnot.
