My heaven! I collect clocks! My cousin & i have collected exactly 1273 clocks, all hanging and chiming in my house! It got full, and we had to hang 288 in my uncle's house! Thumbs up!
The 1:10 slow cuckoo followed by the 1:16 loud chime is my favorite part. The cuckoo sounds like the real bird, and the chime sounds nautical. If that loud chime clock was mounted in a helm (a ship's steering wheel) it would be perfect! Thanks for uploading this.
I have an odd fear of grandfather clocks, not like I would run away from one, but for whatever reason they kind of freak me out...So this would kind of be a nightmare for me...yikes!!!
I love clocks, and hearing them all chime at once, all 1,000 clocks. It's enough to drive anyone cuckoo. But seriously, you would think that your're entering father time's castle will all those clocks on display. I just love it.
this is what hell is like when they serve pancakes. They serve pancakes in hell? Of course they serve pancakes in hell. They have no syrup though. That's crap. No, it's hell. Your life is crap. The internet made me smart.
I agree,, the little clock dominated the scene, I have ,, because of YOU,,I loaded another video with less of the little off key screamer and more of just peak hour chiming of mechanical clocks. Please check it out...THanks for watching.
This is someone with a phobia of clock's hell...lol, so many sounds all at once. The way you were running around with the camera made it look like somone running around like saying in their head "Oh my god, how do I get away from all these clocks!? AHHHH"
I agree, this would be my version of heaven. Clocks and more clocks and more clocks... I've always wanted a decent chiming clock, preferably a tripple chime mantel clock with all wound movements, no electronics... Oh, the thought of it! I'd love to visit this place come 12 o'clock.
I was about to jump out of my seat in the theater in that scene about 24 years ago. It was a sight oh so familiar but rarely seen. Doc Brown and Back to the Future, and The opening scene from The Time Machine are the only time I can remember seeing so many clocks in a film. Thanks
Why can't I change it? I could come back a thousand times, see her die a thousand ways. - I don't understand. - I can't find the answer here, not here, not now.
I have several very young clock enthusiasts, many have visited our store. It is always nice to see a young one with this interest. Several children over many years have continued to visit the shop and are avid clock collectors today. Now their new families are being immersed with the love of clocks as well. Thank you for the post. We appreciate you watching. Give your son a big hug from all of us here at Champ's.
This is incredible! I have over 100 clocks and I thought I was bad. Now I see my collection is but a grain of sand on the beach! This is awesome! This proves you can NEVER have too many clocks, LOL. Where is your store located? This is worth a special trip!
Actually I must admit that as a kid I was afraid of grandfather clocks for a certain event, and that scenario would have been the last one I wanted to get in because of that.
But now I think it's simply beautiful. From those sounds I could imagine everything from silent woods to celebration and twinkling stars. So I guess I'm cured from that fear. :)
Similar to many conversations at our store. When I was a kid, I'd come home from a date and walk through the shop in the dark, I kept waiting for one to lean over and say something. It was like they were alive and trying to stand real still so I wouldn't notice they were there. Its an experience to sleep on the floor listning to all that too. Of course I am Immune.
most real clocks chime from either, every 15 min. , each half hour or, just on the hour. This is why its called a clock. If a clock doesn't chime its a Watch, cause that is what you have to do to tell the time, watch it..
my gosh i love clocks soo much are you the owner of champsclocks im only 14 and i own atleast 11 their my hobbie i can never get them to do that all at once. if i were makeing a time travel movie i would totally use this video when they go back and forth through time
This Saturday march 8th, You can hear it LIVE at our 2nd annual chimes of 1000 clocks Spring forward Daylight Savings time Event. I did film noon but too many folks in the shop to show off the clocks. Come and Listen!
This was great! As a collector, my house and garage are full. I have a Herschede model 294, 9 tube as my prized possession. In like new condition. I love it when they are all chiming at the same time. My motto is just keep buying time!
Believe it or not. I am surrounded by these clocks every day and until the day I recorded this I had never heard anything like this before. We caught ourselves in a state of awe in our own world. Thanks for your comments.
It took 4 of us 4 days to sync all the clocks and the last day half a day to touch up. Anything with a pendulum was set earlier to a set time then just started the pendulums swinging to make it easier.
You can just Imagine how it is to work in it everyday.. well at least for a week. Normally we only run a few dozen. Took us 4 days to wind and set these to the same time. Thanks to all for your comments.
