The 1:10 slow cuckoo followed by the 1:16 loud chime is my favorite part. The cuckoo sounds like the real bird, and the chime sounds nautical. If that loud chime clock was mounted in a helm (a ship's steering wheel) it would be perfect! Thanks for uploading this.

I was about to jump out of my seat in the theater in that scene about 24 years ago. It was a sight oh so familiar but rarely seen. Doc Brown and Back to the Future, and The opening scene from The Time Machine are the only time I can remember seeing so many clocks in a film. Thanks

Actually I must admit that as a kid I was afraid of grandfather clocks for a certain event, and that scenario would have been the last one I wanted to get in because of that.

But now I think it's simply beautiful. From those sounds I could imagine everything from silent woods to celebration and twinkling stars. So I guess I'm cured from that fear. :)

Similar to many conversations at our store. When I was a kid, I'd come home from a date and walk through the shop in the dark, I kept waiting for one to lean over and say something. It was like they were alive and trying to stand real still so I wouldn't notice they were there. Its an experience to sleep on the floor listning to all that too. Of course I am Immune.

most real clocks chime from either, every 15 min. , each half hour or, just on the hour. This is why its called a clock. If a clock doesn't chime its a Watch, cause that is what you have to do to tell the time, watch it..

Totally amazing! How long did it take to synchronize 1000 clocks to chime together? Must have taken months!

It took 4 of us 4 days to sync all the clocks and the last day half a day to touch up. Anything with a pendulum was set earlier to a set time then just started the pendulums swinging to make it easier.
