The scar is explained in the history of MGS. He deserts the US but goes back because he is injured to get medical help but they take his "cells" to make clones. These aren't the clones that are just instant copies of Big Boss. The "cells" are used to fertalize a woman and make a new child. When Big Boss finds out he gets pissed and leaves america indefinaetly.

Yeah probably. I wouldn't know coz I'm no hardcore metal gear fan. I own the second on ps2, Portable ops on PSP and Portable ops plus on PSP but apart from that, I'm not really crazy over it. Nevertheless, I CANNOT wait till this comes out. I mean, Assassins Creed Bloodlines looks fantastic and the trailer really makes me want to get it but Peace Walker gives me a reason to not care if Bloodlines does not live up to my expectations!
