@lambie22 and LuAikawa, I think the article is spot on. Tina Fey is completely two faced when it comes to this topic. LuAikawa, you're not over sensitive. These sort of jokes directly translate into discrimination we experience through other people unwilling to treat us as equal human beings. The issue of people being trans* is certainly a difficult one for the majority of society to comprehend, as heliocentricity was at one time. But that's no reason not to fight it until its end.
