They even had Andrea Beaumont from Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (the movie for Batman: TAS) show up at one point (GREAT movie and not just by animated standards btw. It's on YouTube. Check it out. Do it). Batman was the start of the DCAU, so they finished it with him as well.

I really miss the DCAU. "Epilogue" was a great episode. So much accomplished over the years with all those connected series and still very much they could STILL DO. I hope they release more DCAU soundtracks with Batman Beyond and JLU scores on them though.

I loved Batman TAS but I didn't really watch Justice League very much when I caught this episode the first night it aired. When it got to the ending I just threw my arms in the air and shouted "YES!!!" confusing the hell out of my family. Been a fan of JL and JLU ever since.

But since it draws so much from Batman: TAS (even has Andrea Beaumont for heaven's sake) and it very much fits the style of BTAS more than JLU (a character dies in a tragic manner, they unashamedly mention a character's religion, using the Shirley Walker theme) I'd say that for me it actually manages to count as both.

@BrianFrisbie yeah I want a few DTVs to clear up the last few unresolved plot threads like What happened to Nightwing and the near acpolylpse of 09 I want to know what Ra's al Ghul did and how the League managed to stop him seriously that whole event just screams epic story

that or Justice League Beyond (which if JLU had been renewed we might have got Bruce and the team were considering rebranding the show again and setting it in the future when they were discussing a possible season 6.
