I feel that this guy is taking an insight in his life. He's "tired of it all" and he just wants all the craziness of his life to disappear, he wants a normal life. He might be slightly depressed and he wants to return to happiness. "If happiness came I missed the call"

@lollipop1lover I actually think its just a guy just trying to justify how he acts. He knows life' going to throw bad stuff his way. He also knows that some of the bad things have happened to him because he made it that way by not paying attention to the warning signs. Also he knows that he can't see everything. But, he just wants life to stop bothering him for a moment. So he can take a break and try to recover. That's just my point of view.
