My shift button doesn't work at all, there is no LED and when I pushed the button nothing happens. This means I can't control the key or filter control. I have the exact same hardware and software, do you know how I can make this work?

I think its best for beginners cause it comes with VirtualDJ and thats really easy Traktor is many harder to learn and the Hercules DJ Control MP3 E2 is not so expansive.Ive got that Controller and i recommend it to you.

How is this controller compared to Hercules DJ Control Steel and the VCI-100B? Already got Traktor Scratch Pro, wondering what would work best with it? I just need a cheap and good controller cause I'll be upgrading to Pioneer 2xCDJ-400 and DJM-400 when I got the money and experience :)

it's possible to connect 2 players at the Interface Edition, 'cause there's a 4ch soundcart included... but i think as soon as you use the inputs it's not possible to chose songs at the pc.....

i just ordered the interface edition, i should receive it in about a month... probably I can answer your questions in detail then.

I've got the M-Audio Xponent, works quite like this one, just a bit different Layout.

I was very surprised of the quality of the midi consoles out now. They are really quite fine

Still, as soon as I can afford them, I'll get some CDJs and a DJM

but nice for beginners :)

I think you're mixing for the wrong reasons, then. The important thing is that the music sounds good and makes people enjoy it or want to dance to it. Who cares how you accomplish that?

Sure, there's something to be said for being able to beatmatch by ear, etc. but when it comes down to it, that's more like a means to an end.

i dont like this turn table :/ i recomment to anybody who wants to buy a computure interface to buy the m-audio 'Xponent' has lots more efect and its bit bigger and has an X-Y pad like a kaoss pad to control the effects :)

tbh im not really bothered if a dj uses bpm counters.... surely its not the equipment or methods of mixing that count!! its the final sound and if a dj sounds amasing while uusing the 'sync' button whoo cares!!! as long as it sounds good i'm not bothered! ^.^

The Interface Edition has an integrated sound card (and touch sensitive jogwheels)

Xponent is much better. It has more out of the box FX, better pitch, build in mouse pad that could be used for controlling the fx, 5 cue points per side . Endless possibilities as i use it with Ableton Live as a slave for Torq.
