What I don't understand is that how could shiranui be at his peak when no one believed in him and thought him orochis helper. Ammy only got shiranuis power when everyone prayed for her and knew she was a god.

I love okamiden as well but I always felt like it lacked something but I couldn't put my finger on it.

Now I found it. It is that although it was emotional, sorrow as in the soundtrack and feeling was overused, there wasn't enough music to convey the wide variety of feelings, the plot and actual gameplay was NOTHING compared to the first okami, was too predictable and I felt that the game REALLY needed the sad last scene with Kurow otherwise I would have called it disappointing.

@SuperCHROSS shiranui was what the people in kamiki called him. his real name was amaterasu when he died he lost all his brush techniques and his reincarnation (which is female) had find them all. at the end of the game amaterasu is in her true form which looks like shiranui.

@supermegagamer41 because people shouldn't be giving wii or nintendo credit for Okami, because it was made on the playstation2. I played it first on the playstation 2 and the controls and gameplay is much more fun than it is on the wii. I also don't think every game should have a sequel, but nintendo believes ANY game should have a sequel. Of course a bunch of nintendo fanboys are going to support darkneji7 becuase they are the people being spoonfed nintendo crap 24/7 and they eat it up.

@supermegagamer41 nintendo hasn't come out with a good original game series in years, they just take previous games like okami, recycle older versions of their own games, and create crappy sequals that tarnish the names of its predecessors . Sure, Ps3 and Xbox havent come out with many amazing games and they recycle garbage as well, but at least they still try and have developers who are being innovative.

@jeremystery nintendo They have not come out with any original titles, but Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong are doing just fine. The creator of okami thought it would be awesome on the Wii and it is. Nintendo is the most inovative gaming company out there. Sony is always copying them. plus miyamoto said he wants to come out with an original title this year.

I don't believe Shiranui was really Amaterasu 100 years ago. The reason is because basically Amaterasu is the shinto sun goddess, and she came to the world to fight away the demons (basically doing the same thing Shiranui did 100 years ago) because Shiranui is dead. Basically, Amaterasu is a God, and Shiranui was a magical wolf in my eyes. Not really related in any way bloodline like. Amaterasu just possessed that wolf statue to come to Earth in "disguise".

Of course Shiranui owned Nechku; Shiranui is Amaterasu from 100 years ago; back when Ammy was at PEAK strength! If we were ever able to play as Shiranui (not counting the Karmic transformer), it would be almost the same as Kenpachi Zaraki (Bleach) getting a frigging Bankai!!! Still, it would have been nice if Shiranui could have stuck around a little longer :(

I played Okamiden afew times before i really understood it was a sequel to Okami- so i didnt really understood what it had lacked from the real game (I.E Taka pass) so after i played Okami and replayed Okamiden, i was a bit disapointed.

BUT im not saying Okamiden isnt as good. I love Okamiden, if not more, then just as much as Okami.

like Kurow is my favorite character. Okamiden also made me cry too XD

Actually, I had one death and I'm pretty sure I still got them...It's about the amount of praise you get, I think. Something around 6020? 6200? guarantees that you'll get them.

People don't be giving the DS or the wii enough credit. This game would not work well with the Ps3 or Xbox360 (just not the same feel). As seen with games like Final Fantasy 3 and 4 as well as KH 358/2 Days, the DS is capable of some brilliant graphics and great gameplay. I'd rather have Okami on the Ds than the PS3 any day.

@darkneji7 you know... It came out on the PS2 before the Wii or DS. I played the original version still have it and play it actually. I agree that it will probably work better on a Wii or DS, but it just took a little practice to get the paintbrush down with the joystick.

Actually I got some better ideas you could think about.

1. It was said that the monsters took over the Celestial Plain right? Well are they gone? What about the Celestials? Ammy was also killed as Shiranui but according to Sakuya, she was just in a slumber.

2. I wanted to explore the Moon tribe. They never specifically said why the Moon tribe made such an ark.

3. Where exactly did Orochi come from? He seemed to be a significant evil force but why?
