I think after Media General figured out that WJKS was losing ABC, there was no point in pouring money into the newscast and you can tell by the graphics, because from living near Tampa at that time, MG's flagship WFLA had ecellent graphics and presentation. I wonder how WCBD in Charleston looked around this time?
@jerseyfla WCBD looked bad. WCBD was ABC until that September, and they were in the same Quonset Hut studio that they had when the station began. They had the same circle 2 logo for about 15 years, only changing colors. That didn't change until after they switched to NBC. MG didn't put money into it until they built their new studio in 2002.

Wow. Kinda powerful. It's a fate I fear WTVW will have to face...because its network affiliation went out with the tides.
