i have been troubleshooting my xboxlive connection for like two weeks, i basically replaced my entire network, bought a new router(that is xboxlive compatable), new ethernet cables, even the new xbox360, talked to my ISP, xboxlive support, and the router company, basically my entire network is working perfectly doing what its suppose to i have a feeling its my ISP, but they say it is nothing on their end but thats all it can possibly be can anyone please help me? any advice?

I have a disconnection problem but it doesn't make much sense, no one can explain it to me. When I first turn on my Xbox 360 it won't let me do anything online, but once I try to do something online and then sign out and in it will work fine until I turn my Xbox 360 off again. I have a router (DI-604) and wired connection for the Xbox 360. If anyone knows the answer to this problem please let me know because it is annoying.

check all settings make sure no extra passwords/ adresses are there check your router for loose cords or try restarting your router

Type 192.168.1.1 in to your internet bar. a box will apear with a space for your account and password, DEFAULT for both is ADMIN, this will get you into your router to change settings. you will have to go to application and gamming. from their you need to change the ports and enable them. This can be found on google by typing in xbox live router ports, or so on, very simple fix, also it wil help to change your maxinum MTU in the first page of your router set up, by Setting router to 1500, G-Luck

oh and if anyone is wondering how to FIX THE DNS u go to start-run-type CMD-click ok-type ipconfig/all in the black box and where it says physical Adress type that in where your xbox 360 asks for your MAC address and the DNS will pass trust me it works :)

so ur ip adress wont work, u have to go on the comp settings and allow ur comp to let the connection go but if thats not the prob then u need a certain cord thats most likely why ask ur xbox provider on certain stuff like i had a router that wouldnt work and it turned out that the router wasnt compatible with the 360 got a new router it worked fine.

phone your broadband provider and tell them that its not letting ya connect to xbox live i think it could be to do with the DNS or you NAT if youve got a comp connect you router to that read the intuction manual and try change the settings

ok this is what i think i know NAT is how cable u are of connecting to ther players e.g open is best you can connect to alot of players strict you are limited its down to the routor or the settings on it and MTU is speed you need a curtain MTU setting on your router its about a MTU setting of 1400

when ever this happens just re connect everywire to your pc + turn the electric off by the wall and leave for 5 mins - never fails :p ( some wireless internet have firewalls which block xbox live btw )
