I looked for this on the net and I think it is just labled wrong. It is going way too slow to be a meteor. This is about 16 thousand miles an hour not per sec. If this was a meteor it would burn up in a tenth of the time. The Geminid's are also known for not having streaking tails.
@Kowch737 Impossible. If it was a meteoroid, it would have burnt up already. If it was a meteorite, there would be definite impact. Having said that, I agree with redshift: it's more likely to be satellite re-entry.

I don't get it, this is not a shot of meteors. it looks like a re-entry of some sort. The geninid travel at 22 miles per second.
