  • hahaha this is the funny'est thing ever. Its like watching the crash testing for cars, but for vacuums. They should have little dummies inside.

  • To vintagehoover-are all of Dyson's vacuums designed so that if something needs replaced you have to take it to a service center? This past weekend I attempted to replace the clutch in my DC07 and it was somewhat difficult. It required me purchasing a T15 torx screwdriver and a special belt lifter tool. I also changed the hepa filter and that wasn't easy either.

  • @JJ9715 Dyson cleaners should always be serviced by the company, or by Dyson-approved service agents. As with most manufacturers, attempted self-repair will void the warranty.

With regards to the DC07 clutch, it's designed to be a lifetime part - if it needs replacement within the 5 year warranty period , you should contact Dyson to arrange service.

  • @66goonie The whole body is designed to absorb and dissipate the impact force to prevent damage. Dyson cleaners are constructed of ABS, and the bins are made from polycarbonate - the same material used for police riot shields!
