I can't wait for their answer! Do you think I will be accepeted?? I'm a transfer, have 3.60 GPA, but I have many Ws which I explained, but don't know if it's enough >< What you think? I wanna go here so badly! In my country there are no Universities like this at all.
for all the pussies that cant take a little snow! ITS NOT WINTER FOR 6 MONTHS! snow starts flying early december and the last snowflake flies in mid to late april so its actually 4 and 1/2 maybe 5 months. and if all your slimy pussies cant take it do some fucking research before going to a midwestern state for college let alone MICHIGAN!
Dear prospective students, do not be fooled by this, the campus is actually a miserable experience. It is always extremely cold and everybody here is rude in arrogant. If you want to spend your four years surrounded by nasty people, nasty weather, and spend all your friday and saturday nights studying then go here. If you want to have a normal college experience then go elsewhere-from the wisdom of a current student
I graduated from Ann Arbor as well. I'm glad you showed a few winter shots, because that's what I remember most - the freaking 5+ months of b.s. crap weather.
I'm entering my junior year of high school, and I'm at the point where I need to start looking at schools. After all the research, I don't think I've been more attracted to any school other than UMichigan. I'm in love with the campus, and the fact that it's a large school in a small city seems really comforting to me. The student organizations seem fantastic and UM graduates certainly take pride in their alma mater.
My god, this school has been my dream for longer then the past 10 years. I'm going into my senior year of highschool and wish I would have done better, like ALOT better so I can get in there. If I want to I'd have to go to a year or 2 at a community college probly to get in, who knows it could be worth it. The only thing is that this school has been a dream to go to, what I wanna do is major in law enforcement in which case wiu is one of the best schools in the nation for that and I live in Ill
@aChubbyNinja Also consider my other university, The University of Maryland, a top public with a very good criminal justice school, I think it is number 1. Or something like that. See the video I made here. It is also much less expensive than Michigan for out of state. I made a vdeo on your tube called The University of Maryland- A "Gone With The Wind" Campus
@aChubbyNinja I'm at a community college and plan to transfer in Winter of next year. I did pretty well in HS but not good enough to get in. It IS worth the wait, that I already know. The University of Michigan student experience is one to be envied by everyone. #UMICH #LEGOOOOO #GOBLUE
Miserable place, this is a deception, the weather actually is terrible, I went there from out of state and it turned into a nightmare. A good example of the weather is the fact that it snowed on the second last day of class- April 22
Hey, you got some of those photos off of Wikipedia didn't you? Law library, Rackham, and Hill, Rackham, and Burton Tower together. I took those. Don't worry I put them in the public domain. Gorgeous campus.
Is it hard to enter in this University? Im Greek and i wanna study English Language. Can someone explain me what i have to do to get acceepted in this university? I would apriciate that.(means ANSWER ME!!!) :D
i really think you americans got it right about universities..such beautiful places are really inspirational and i'm sure that studying at the u of m is a fantastic expereince. unfortunately med school system is different in europe, otherwise i would have been really happy to spend a semester or a year in a place like that.
@BillF1967 Ohio State is a great school! Sure Michigan is better but it's not enough to go up to Michigan for where it's even colder. Also it really goes by your major, I'm aiming for Pharmacy school in which Michigan doesn't even have.
Nice video, eddi. Most of the Big Ten campuses have beautiful older buildings and are wonderfully integrated into the community. Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwestern, Minnesota ...
I'm transferring to UM next year as an Engineering student. Do you guys recommend the North campus dorms or the undergraduate apartments?, and which dorms do you guys think is better: Baits I or Bursley Hall?
@aztecman7 Its extremely cold. You will be walking in 2 feet of snow to get to class. I have lived in Michigan for 8 years. Its a nice place to live but for college i am heading south to Florida
these are all warm shots. Once the snow falls, the scum from the road gets on the pavement. Yeah, its beutiful when its warm, but I can tell you from living in Ann Arbor, thats like 4 months a year
Love this campus, but I also love MSU's (where I currently am). I'm planning on transferring to UMich but my damn intro to engineering courses don't transfer : (((
Its not only that the central campus is very attractive, especially anything built before 1940, but the setting - right in the center of Ann Arbor, a great walking college town that makes UM such a nice place.
Other campuses I have seen that I like:
East Coast: Princeton, University of Virginia, University of Maryland. I heard that Duke, North Carolina, and Cornell are nice.
This came as a msg (edited): What great pictures!I have 2 UM degrees and am about to go up for a visit with a friend of mine from the 70s. We plan to relive a lot of good memories. I recently read that Shakey Jake died in 07. How sad. Strange thing, I thought he was an old man back in the 70s when I knew him. Yet, he was younger then than I am now. He seemed old to an undergrad. Anyway, A2 is a great place and this video makes me misty-eyed. I can't wait to get to A2 again
Yes, I am sure Purdue has a magnificent campus! Why don't you make a video and put it on your tube using Picasa editor, it's easy! This was you can share the incomparable beauty of East Lafayette Indiana, the cultural capital of the glorious state of Indiana, with millions!
