@RollOnToVictory: Actually, in the part of the world where the series is said to be set, calling him "Ong" as opposed to "Aang"--Western translation of the name--would ACTUALLY BE accurate. This is no surprise since M. Shyamaian is of Asian descent himself. As such though, you would think he wouldn't have sucked all the fun out of the characters and made the bending look all choppy & poorly choreographed, yet he did.

@dice1331 I wouldn't blame Jackson Rathbone for how Sokka was portrayed, even though he was the one portraying him. I would blame it on M. Night Shyamalan who totally f***ed up the entire movie. He sucked all the fun out of Aang, he sucked the comedy out of Sokka, no healing powers shown, Appa had a demonic personality, the martial arts were all wrong...is that enough for you? i could go on. but I won't. cause just thinkin about how M. Night ruined one AMAZING cartoon makes me sick to my stomach

I love this show! The movie wasn't nearly as good, but it doesn't make me hate M. Night for it at all. I mean, it's not like he killed the show or ruined it for there to be another Avatar show, which has already been announced for 2011. I just don't get all the bias haters out there. M. Night and his work is something you either like or dislike I guess, this includes the critics. I think the movie sucked, but I'm not angry. Just looking forward to Avatar: Legend of Korra!

If I made the film, I would've ended it with Katara making a little narrative speech ending with the last two sentences in this intro.

"Although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world."

Sweep the camera over Aang's head like in the cartoon, throw in the title, and have the score pay a little tribute to the music here.
