Seriously, don't spread the thermal compound before putting on your cpu heat sink. The gloves can be useful but I dont think you need them if you just touched something grounded. ( better handling ) but nice video !
My computer here are my specks Intel i7 980 X 24 Gb OZC Ram 6 OCZ 60GB SSD on Raid 0 2 Nvidia GTX 480 and 1 nvdia 9800 dedacaded gpu 1200 watt power windows 7 pro 64bit 32 inch touch screen ram cooler EVGA X58 mother board Gpu coolers Corsair water cooling unit 7.1 sound card this makes crysis load in 5 secs its called DREAM WARE PRO price 6000$
I had XP pro on my i7 rig and then put in Win 7 the dx 10 of win 7 allows games to be better optimised aswell as run better graphics and the 64bit OS can read all GGb of my Ram on XP it could only read 3.5Gb and could only give 2Gb to a game .
you guys are so retarded it take a decade to develope a new Os from scratch
both vista and win 7 have the same architecture and kernel thread count. Microsoft lost a projected 6 billion from vista sales because of a premature launch and a brand reputation that vista was faulty
all they did was slap on a new sticker on the vista box and you morons were dumb enough to think it was a new dress on a pig
sooo good your PC, but, how can put win xp?? i think that win 7 x64 do your pc computer the 100% of potence, i have for example, intel core i7, gigabyte ex58 ud3r, 4 gb ddr3 1333 kingston (a few bad :) ) 2xnvidia 260gtx SLI , 2 HD 1 tb Seagate , 1 aerocool touch 1000, thermaltake element g, 900w power system, and thermaltake spinq VT....it's soo good. but i put win 7 x64 and it's incredible!
Congratulations. 9000 people viewed this video and noone noticed. I know I put the DIMMs in bad slots and fixed it long time ago. Anyway, since you are the first guy to view this and notice my mistake, im going to annotate your name at the very begining of this video.
Very nice, i dont see the need for a fan like that, unless your planning on really overclocking it but then if you were you'd water cool it ? but anyway nice video
why are you putting the cooler with the fan down?in that particular case(cause i have the same) it is better to have to the right so the hot air goes out from the back!
Thermal paste, for better heat transfer between CPU an the cooler. In fact, cooler is nearly useless witjout the paste. Some coolers (like these that come with CPU etc.) come with the paste preapplied.
Latex gloves aren't thick enough to prevent an arc to your skin and the rubber can build up quite a charge on its surface which makes the situation even worse.
Man i just built my first rig!!! Just a simple dual core cause i don't have a job.............But now i Hella want an I7 rig. Damn there nice...........Cool vid man =)
Is it hard to build a gaming desktop? I have 0 experience in doing it, but people say it's easier, and runs good..I have a site that tells me "good" budget hardware. Should I try?
ummmm you meen absolutely "0" experience. then i prob wouldnt. u first need to know how everything works, why it works that way, and what makes it good.
building a computer is a lot more complicated than u think. like certain things wont work with other things, and a whole lot of other shit, so id read a good bit before you do anything.
well basicly yes, you can put two nehaelm Xeons in one PC, these are core i7 too, just diferent branding and multi CPU support. And no, multi CPU won't give you higher mhz.
As said before it just adds black corners when using a basic resolution (640x480, 800 x600 etc.) so it wont look extremely stretched. Oh and, by the way, i have two of these now.
I've got the same case, getting my parts one by one. you should video the inside if it's done that is. Was cable management pretty easy with this case?
gamemaker83, Do you go around trying too tell people how to build their rigs and/or just bitch, Lol that's about all it seems you do, Maybe you're just jealous.
yea, i got an 22" 1680x1050 16:10 w/XP it doesn't put black edges to fill the rest of the screen, it fills the screen, and from what i see at 1:30 it looks bigger than 640x480.
windows 7 has a beta that is free that last's till June 2010. i got a 32bit copy, and 64bit ultimate copy from a friend.
if i were u, i would dual boot wth 7 and xp, but after release, ither dual boot it with xp, dual boot vista and xp and just wait for win7 sp1, or tri boot xp, vista, and 7. but windows bootloaders are shitty, so i would maybe quad boot them, by lastly installing Ubuntu Linux, which has the grub bootloader, where it should see all 3 others, without having to add any lines.
this 1 time i had 7 os's on the same machine, over a master/slave setup. 6 if u count the fact that OpenSolaris never worked
let me recommend that u remove the empty hard drive cages and try to put the hard drive in the middle. That way you get more airflow without those empty cages and you also get ur hard drive a little cooler since it does help.
I used to have my hard drive on the top then when i moved it to the middle and removed the others i got a 5 degree drop (in celcius). A cooler hard drive makes it last longer :D
not true, only costs around 1600 for an 97 build, not that big a step up, if you already go around buying gaming rigs, espically if u go 4 SLI/crossfire. And if u do just get another card later down the track if u want crossfire/sli
there really is no need to wear those gloves. nothing will happen to the parts unless ur really electirfied but noone is that much so u dont need that, just makes it harder on u

mcliars 2 years ago
would it do better or would it be un-necesary power? (sorry for all the questions lol)
snoozlefroose 2 years ago
if you will get a OS that can utilize more CPUs (XP home utilizes more cores but not more CPUs) like XP professional or Vista Ultimate
and a program that can utilize more CPUs or cores (like adobe premiere/photoshop/etc or high end games (crysis for example)
then yes, it would do better.
And about these questions, its no problem to me.
mcliars 2 years ago
oh i see,ok thanks.
snoozlefroose 2 years ago
