  • reminds me of a creme egg ad

  • Muy Buen equipo trabaja tambien en altura buenos resultados a 6310 metros sobre el nivel del mar

  • sensor size and footage please!

  • @makanamachine

    Sensor size is 1/2.88''

  • National Geographic channel and Discovery channel should use this

  • @jun1330 hehe this cheap piece of crap? lol funny. not even 422 of 50mbit using consumer codec. If i want to buy a handycam I'll get the XA10 :)

  • @jun1330 They Do.

  • Looks great, I wonder if it is rain proof and dust proof?

  • @MatthewGivot not with the MIC XD

  • @MatthewGivot HaHa! I wish it had a big sensor in it.

  • can we get more specs on it? Looks interesting but although I am a sony devote I am looking to see what NAB releases are because I am loving the concept behind the HPX 370 which is avc intra full raster 4:2:2 10 bit full 1080i at 60fps mind you its $6,000 more.

  • Need it!

  • God works at Sony ! :D All prayers anwered by the NX70 ;)

  • My outcry for a tapeless HC1/A1 was finally heard by Sony. Everything just the way I wanted: tilt-up viewfinder, XLR with a handle, a ring, focus button on the barrel. This is pure sex! Love it, love it, love it! Sony always had a knack for great camera styling.

I hope it has FULL manual exposure control unlike the crippled CX700V. I wish it had DV instead of MPEG-2 SD, who cares for file sizes anymore when 60p is 28 Mbit/s? Will there be a cheaper variant a-la HC1 without an XLR block?

  • that's just killed canon's XF100 dead in its tracks - that will teach canon to be late to the party - poor old canon always the bridesmaid but never the bride

  • @TheRubberskin Maybe it'll be a Canon killer or maybe not. Sure looks a good feature set to me (especially 1080p50/60 which the XF100 sadly lacks) but let's see some real life images first and see what it's like in low light, if it's crippled in manual controls & menu user friendliness like the CX700s are (apparently). Bear in mind this cam is pretty expensive too at $3200. It's Great to see some new small form factor and highly capable cams appearing recently - so many choices!

  • @TheRubberskin canon been beaten by sony many years, then panasonic came up DVX100A,even sony was beaten by that, canon came up a good cam A1 but too bad that's HDV and it was too late, now the NX70 totally killed the XF100,i try to buy panasonic or canon but my final choice always go to sony if this time i didn't choose GH2.

  • @casablancamicasa The XF100 has 4:2:2 color, so I don't see how the NX70 "totally killed the XF100".

  • @TheRubberskin that's the only thing XF100 better than NX70,you didn't even mention XF100 is 50Mbps,NX70 is only 24Mbps like all those AVCHD cam,but so what? NX70 still better than XF100 in many ways, for example: 24P,low light sensitive, touch screen control, rain proof(very useful),dust proof, large viewfinder, talk about the design of camcorder, canon never ever win sony, sony always know how to please their customers with the design and their sensor just better, that's no way XF100 can sell better.
