  • Oooh, this helps out A-LOT, now I know why it looks so wonky when I practice this, it's the two downward moves steps three and six. This over exaggeration helped Me see better what directions to move in. You're still the best Youtube martial arts instrutor that I've ever seen for many reasons, and I have looked far and wide. Thank You so much, this makes Me feel better and safer, even if I don't use it I can demonstrate for the bad guys and they'll think twice, and that's even better.

  • @akai454 hey bro, glad to hear that it helps! Thank you for the kind words, I'm just an average instructor trying to get better at my own skills and also at teaching, got a long way to go, but that's a good thing. There would be something seriously wrong if I felt I couldn't improve anymore lol

  • Big help to me. Thanks :)

  • I've been having trouble with the "Heaven 6" for awhile, and after seeing this video, i think I will get it right this time. Thanks again.

  • @siquirres77 If you can explain the area your having trouble with or even better film yourself practicing I can definitely give you some pointers! But the best remedy is to just keep trying and keep watching others do it. take care man

  • I've been doing this type of practice to all techniques that I've learned (stick arts & others). If it's something new, I start slow. Waaayyyy slow. Slower than slow. Of O still can't get it, I shift my gear to the "it's so annoyingly slow, please speed it up!" XD. In fact, this type of practice, that I still continue doing, led me to the Dynamic Tension Kicking vid that I made. Part of the basics, w/c I love =3.

  • @Loyal2law then you have been training right. so if you haven't already, apply the change of speeds to shadow boxing or your free form and then to actual sparring :) And that leads to defense defense defense.

  • Most exellent demonstration.

  • @H3LLSHOCK thanx man, hope it helps!

  • Is this basically Double Sinawali?

  • @MrMathsStraightRazor back when I learned it, it was called Double Sinawali in Arnis De mano. Since then I've heard many names for it, I just like the way Heaven 6 sounds lol

  • @wmpyr Almost like something from Final Fantasy!

  • @MrMathsStraightRazor lol yeah, that's what I heard Dan Inosanto call it if not mistaken, beautiful game btw!

  • There's a certain rhythm to it that you can hear when practicing with another person. When I learned it, my mind kept saying 1, 2, 3, (pause) cha cha cha. The cha cha cha refers to 4, 5, 6. The "pause" will disappear when you get more comfortable and change the speed/tempo. I also find myself rocking forward on 1, 2, 3 and rocking back on 4, 5, 6 just as you do @ 4:35. Maybe it's just the dancer in me. I am by no means a "master" or such. Just a humble student willing to help. Aloha, J.

  • @TheHomeDefender some people are more musically inclined and your totally right, no coincidence that Bruce Lee taught martial arts through rhythm and so does Dan Inosanto. thanx for the comment, take care bro!

  • You kick started my martial arts training big time, you and Isreal. You guys are the best.

  • @nayrnyc2 thank you for the positive comments man, all I can say is that you must have had it in you, and you woke up something inside. keep training, take care man!

  • Good video and points made. Thanks for the effort and happy Easter!

  • @LMarshall32 Happy Easter to you too! Thanx for watching!
