Was too big and stretched the engine to its limits, one of the designers said that level had just the bridge and to the left an right just out of shot the map ended.

Yes but even at that it still retains the consolised gameplay, the first cod and the expansion for pc were proper pc games. Then they started to release the same game on all formats and the pc version has suffered from having more console style gamplay.

Regenerating health, recoil toned down significantly, the dumbed down radar system. They never change the pc version anymroe to make it more pc like and take all that crap out, we just get the same version as ps3 and 360 owners.

Its not a mod, this is the first footage ever shown of the game and some things changed during development. The bridge level shown at the end of this video never made it to the final game as it was too large.

The devs stated that while it looked good in the video just off screen were the limits of the map so it made no sense to include it.
