Agreed, Myles is getting pretty ropey live, cutting stuff short, singign down the octave and all this "Ah", such as "This hole Ah", it does my head in n his vocal has become so nasily and just not a patch on what it was, touring with Slash has given him an "Axyle" thin delivery, not good, I have gone right off them!!!

@brunokeanodavies Saw him in August and he hit 95% of the notes he does on record. I've seen shows where he goes all out and shows where he plays conservative. I imagine he knows when he needs to protect his voice and when he's ready to go full speed ahead. They also play faster in live shows compared to on the record, which definitely makes it more difficult to keep the breathing techniques going correctly.

Myles is not a bad singer at all. It´s just pretty hard to concentrate on singing while playing guitar. Not every musician can do it.

Those alter bridge and slash songs he's working on are really intensive vocally. It sounds like he's really straining his voice here pretty bad with all the voice cracks. But it must be really hard to keep up with all the events he has goin and no time to rest his voice.

I'm one of the biggest Alter fans going, I even have a tattoo of them, but I really dont like the way Myles sings the chorus for this live, shortening the 'ties that bind' vocal compared to the CD version, I really think it kills the chorus

His voice is just damaged by the year and a halt that he spent on the road with slash and AB, he did not take vacation during this year, which is not good for a singer, particularly of this tone.

NOT a bad performance at all... but also NOT a tight live band, watch the intro to buried alive... horrible timing, Tremonti can't even play the lead fast enough to keep up with how rushed it is, just saying a click track would fix things... all the best live bands play with it

@hthibodaux3 I just watched Buried Alive, and that was not sloppy at all. To say Mark Tremonti can't play that fast enough is insane; he plays shit 10x faster all the time.

Also "all the best live bands play with [a click track]" is an absurd claim. Who are these bands? Iron Maiden is the greatest live band of all time IMO, and they don't use a click track. Real musicians don't rely on a metronome to keep them in time when performing.

anyone who says Alter Bridge is underrated in Europe is completely wrong. I can only speak for Germany. The concerts on the last Tour in 2010 were sold out and people paid a ticket price up to 130$ just to see Alter Bridge in concert.
