  • Her voice is great, but the tempo is too fast

  • she has a nice voice but its much too youthful for fantine. and no effense but i dont exactly believe her.

Her voice is better suited for the part of eponine

  • Kristina is gr8....i went to theater camp for Rent she was maureen she did so well

  • Her face, when she kept looking down in the beginning, reminded me of the way my classmates from drama class would make to try to look dramatic. Which still gives me giggles today. No hating! =D It just reminded me of it, and I say this all with a good-feel vibe.

  • wow

  • It looks modernized?

  • VERY GOOD!

  • Just a bit more depth in the voice would give it so much more emtotion to the song and better your performance as well, no negativity just an observation....

  • wow, it gave me chills...so good

  • Her voice really matches with this song.

  • AMAZING!

  • wonderful! such a young girl with so much talent. bravo.

  • how old is she?

  • i was 13 when i played this role but now im 15

  • for a young (I'm assuming not super trained) voice, she does a very nice job. I also love that she didn't contort her face to some weird expression to try to make the lower range look/ sound more convincing.

Maybe a bit flat or sharp at times, but nobody is perfect. For someone so young, she did a lovely job. :)

  • thx for ur opinion :]

  • some prts u were shouting hihi...PEACE

  • i luv dis song i sang it in a contest nd came 1st!

Gr8 singing i wish i wuz as gud as dat!!

  • beautiful, beautiful voice. the acting, etc. isn't the best, but don't go comparing her with ruthie henshall, who is practically a god. there's an immense amount of talent with this girl!

  • Not always on pitch, but pretty good

  • what are you?? a voice teacher??

  • Music student.

  • okey..you are only a student..not a PROFESSIONAL..i bet you have a lot to learn..

  • Ofcourse I do! But I'm still entitled to an oppinion.

  • "But I'm still entitled to an oppinion. "

of course he is.. just like everyone else

  • She, actually. But thank you :)

  • If you like this, try Neil Diamond's version. Check out the change of lyrics.

    Video link posted above.

  • Pretty voice (:

  • too fast. i like her voice, but would be nice with more emotions. i felt like she was just "singing" and not acting it out.

  • You sound good :]]

  • She could use a bit of a vibrato. But other than that, she's pretty good.

  • still lea salonga portrayed fantine very well..

  • why is she holding on to her stomach?

  • because fantine is sick

  • SUSAN BOYLE me trajo aki desde PERUU :)

  • POR SUSAN BOYLE ESTOY AKI.

  • I feel she has potential, but she's not channeling her emotions like with the crescendo for "shame" it's like she does not know her capacity...

  • yeah, great alto tho

  • very very good.

  • Hola, Susan Boyle me trajo aquí de

    Argentina!!!!!!!!!!

  • whatever happened to just appreciating the music??

  • first to kingofmiwalkee, check out judy kuhn, then comment, and to this girl,so heart felt, and an amazing low register.,.,.,well done

  • But this girl still did fantastic!

  • YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE UGLY TO SING THIS SONG!!! i know some of the prettiest ppl @ my school who can sing this song and it still sound amazing!!!! so every1 needs to shut up! yes susan boyle was amazing at singing this song..but you don't have to be ugly to make it work!

  • This young gal doing this song does a very good job!

  • Oh NO WAY. Check out Andrea McArdle's version! She leaves Susan Boyle in the dust.

  • Comment removed

  • That's just you going along with the band wagon. Susan does not "blow" anyone away, there's emotion in everyone's videos. Raw talent means nothing to hard work and determination. I believe all singers had their forte in their own videos, Susan is merely new news, sure her singing was great, but it was still not flawless. You judge music through the crowd's reaction, if you truly listened to the music, you would see that the emotion and heart in all the other videos were wondrous.

  • You just don't get it. No one of these pretty girl singers can give this song and it's lyrics the same meaning as Susan Boyle. After hearing SB story you can FEEL the song.

  • So apparently you think only ugly people feel pain. Anyone who has gone through hard times in life can identify with this song.

  • ...

What a ridiculous and uninformed comment. To educate you, This song in Les Mis is sang by Fantine, who in the book is described as being absolutely beautiful. And since you're in camp Susan Boyle, surely you believe that looks don't come into the equation when singing a song, therefore your comment makes no sense and you are silly. Yes? Yes.

(Also, just because this comment will probably go to the front page, this comment is aimed at a comment "boiy" made a few pages back.)

  • Andrea is definately great. But she doesn't have that celestial thing in her voice. I think she has the best performance in YouTube so far other than Susan. One I would like to hear sing this song is Julie Andrews.

  • sorry im gonna have to say ruthie henshall is the best

  • I agree

  • beautiful voice!!

  • maybe because they cannot accept the fact that there are way, way better singers than their friend.

  • Look at Kristina!! I LOVE HER!!

    -aj

  • Someone can't hold a spotlight...

  • Haha!

  • Yeah I agree

  • beautiful.

  • in this play, can anyone tell me who is the female main charector? if there isnt one, what is the biggest part in this play for a female?

  • I'd say it would be a tie between Fantine, Eponine and Cosette, though Cosette probably has the 'biggest' part technically.

  • yeah it's kinda like who has the biggest male role in Phantom? The Phantom or Raoul? Raoul is on stage much longer while the Phantom is on stage under a half hour but does have a good deal of off stage voice appearances which some are recorded anyway...;)

  • There isn't really a biggest role for a female. The biggest two, I suppose, would be Eponine and Cosette. But the female leads (Eponine, Fantine, Cosette, Madame Thenadier) are mostly equal. The only reason Fantine doesn't have as a big of a role as the others is that she dies very early in the show. However, she comes back in the epilogue, but she is an extremely important character in the story.

  • From my point of view, she needs to stop more, the song needs more space. But she fitted the character beaufifully, she's got a great voice and her acting is realistic.

  • gotta love that kristina

  • I think she's good on this attempt. Of course there's always room for improvement -- I heard the performance in NY in the 80's the person playing Fantine was a lot older and be able to contain that kind of sadness and destitude. Kristina, if she kept on singing like that, she could attain a lot

  • Beautiful song, beautiful voice. Very nicely done!

  • i live in yorktown!

  • I think that this little lady, Kristina, may have quite a future..

  • If she puts a little sadness into this, it will be fantastic !!!

She has a great voice :)

  • i wrote that last comment under my sisters name! hehe

  • I know her... hehe (shes my best friend) <3

  • her voice is nice.

  • im sorry but i didnt like the performance. There was no passion and i was not able to relate to the character. But u could still improve.

  • u do?? cause idk if i know u who are u?

  • wow i know that girl

  • omg!!! my friend was in this show w/ lyt!!!!! i luved it thanx 4 putting it up!!! :D

  • who who WHO!!!!!!
