  • Someone's probably asked this a million times already but how far is the gong from the workbench?

  • looks kind of like a five seven lol

  • How far are you from "The 'boro"?

  • lol they are definitely not a university that produces firearms.. you are definitely wrong.

  • @TheFeral0ne ...You really think he was being serious about it being made at a university?...

  • You know hickok45, with all that brass I heard you walking on you should see about taking that to the recycling center to get money for more ammo.

  • Looking forward to the Kel-tec KSG review

  • absolute JUNK!

  • It don't look real I don't like it.!

  • Great review. I am in the 22 mag cult and I'm stuck with an AMT Automag II. The fact he's laughing most of the way through say's it all. Mag release? It holds 30. If it doesn't misfire(what I want to know) and the trigger is good, and accuracy is good then it must be a good gun. Now bring back the 10/22 mag and you have a set.

  • 0:08 I laughed at that one. =]

  • The bad placement of the magazine release is a BIG issue.

  • Thumbs up if you would buy a PMR-30 if you could get a barrel for it to chamber .17 HMR.

  • dang thats a lot of shots in a row without a reload

  • My buddy bought one,we took it out to the range, awesome little gun but if you buy one, don't bother with ammo not recommended by Kel-Tec as it's hit n miss, had some hang ups and two misfires but with the cci mini mags she fired with no problems every time.

  • Really the only drawback is that is looks ugly; at least IMO.

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

  • Manufacturers should restrict distributors and dealers from selling new weapons for more than MSRP!!! Too many price gougers out there. A $399 MRSP going upwards towards $600 for is ridiculous. Same with the KSG.

  • @ddorrer Thank you! Also though what the hell is wrong with Kel Tec? They have a golden goose and they aren't kickin that thing. Build, expand, more crews, more jobs, more hours and... take over the world! Is there something I don't know about the gun business? Anyone? 3 cool new guns are almost a myth because they don't make very many.

  • Well these are demanding over five hundred as they are rare hard to get

    Been back ordered nonexistent forever

  • ALL MY MONEY...TAKE IT NOW!

  • I'd say this pistol agrees with you! Around 20 hits in 4 seconds. :)

  • nice muzzle flash!

  • Looks like an awesome pistol for $300.

  • I'm new to you're videos hitkok , but I love them . If you haven't done a video on the Kel-Tec PLR-16 please try . If you have already done so I haven't found It.

  • Thanks for the review, I am considering this as a night-hunt handgun backup for the overflowing coyote population around here, since rimfire and #4 shotshells are the only legal ammo after dark for the 'yotes.

  • Thanks for this video. My Brother is looking for his first pistol and for some reason he is set on a .22. This one looks pretty interesting.

  • @hickok45

Any chance of you doing a video of a NAA .22? #8-)

  • Comment removed

  • do you sell guns?

  • 10 people hate guns. And freedom.

  • I want one...

  • i'll still have to think about it this gun run about $250 - $300

  • who much is it .. if it less then $450 i'll still have to think about it

  • Thumbs up if you'd buy one if Kel Tec made it in .22lr!!

  • @HoldFastUSN

Fucking AAAAA......22 Mag is expensive and is crap from a short pistol barrel. A 22LR makes sense, you can shoot all day for a few bucks.

  • @HoldFastUSN I'd buy one of each!!

  • @HoldFastUSN According to a Kel-Tec representative at last year's (2011) SHOT Show, a .22 LR version is in the works.

  • @HoldFastUSN or 17hmr

  • @HoldFastUSN The problem is that .22lr capacity on pistols sucks for it's size.

They don't double stack well on a magazine supposed to fit in a pistol grip. Ever wondered why are 10/20 mags so curved? Now you know.

  • @bf2lover42 So what's the difference between.22 lr and .22 mag then? The problem isn't that they don't "double stack" well it's that because of the rimmed cartridges feeding is very unreliable in an automatic, same reason you see very few rimmed cartridges in autos, i.e .357, 44 mag etc. Your ignorant for comparing the engineering of a .22 that started production in 1964 to one that has only been around for a year!! Thanks for the education though dumb ass...

    Now you know.

  • @HoldFastUSN Okay. Find me a double stacked magazine for a .22lr pistol and you have a point.

  • @bf2lover42 once again your acting like this is an issue specific to the .22lr, your missing the point so I'll just drop it...besides you probably need to get back to your Call of Duty or whatever it is you do.

  • @HoldFastUSN No, it's not a problem exclusive to .22lr. You're just "assuming" I said it was. Hence, why don't you kindly pick fights with people your age.

Or go have a pillow fight with your sister. See mommy? That kid insulted me and I insulted him back with something worse! *WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

Also, go see a therapist because you obviously have an obsession with Call of Duty. It isn't normal to bring it up when you're not talking about anything related to it.

  • WOW where do I start? You have been saying this whole time that the problem is exclusive to 22lr, my point has been if they can do it with 22mag they should be able to do it with 22lr yet you seem to act like the problem lies soley with 22lr? you make no sense and your getting defensive, must have hit a soft spot with the Call of Duty comment! By the way I do like Call of Duty, then again there isn't much else to do when your deployed...Oh well, you can have the last word tough guy..

  • @HoldFastUSN No, doing it with .22Mag requires new R&D for .22lr.

Defensive? I pretty much stayed in the offense with that "pillow fight with your sister". Man, I am so cool and edgy.

"isn't much else to do when your deployed"

Okay, I think we have established what is causing your bursts of incoherent behavior. If playing CoD gets your mind off the potatoes you have to peel in the Mess then you should do it and stop listening to the other boys messing with your xbox.

  • now this is a pistol that i need to get my hands on.

  • Thanks to guys from On Target for the loan of gun so you could make this video. The PMR is an interesting gun. However, I still not sure if I would want one. Great video!

  • 30 rounds? very good for a handgun. Just like a big rifle :-)

  • From the sound of it, there is no more gravel on that hill, Just bullet casings.

    ~TJ

  • Guns just keep getting cooler and cooler. Fuck me.

  • how much does this cost i am very interested so if you could tel me where to purchase one that would be helpfull

  • @darkshineize There's a website that can answer all of these questions just by simply typing the name of the gun in and hitting enter. Its call google dick head.

  • @Attz0r People who are too dumb to do a web search for a desired firearm, probably shouldn't be allowed to own one.

  • What kind of ear muffs are those

  • I have only fired the PF9 and i wasn't a fan of the trigger. I would like to see how this one feels compared to the 9.

  • Very interesting gun but it does not inspire allot of confidence. If they work out the bugs then I would buy one. Look on brassfetcher if you're wondering about the performance of the 22 magnum, they show over 12" penetration.

  • It is sensative on dry firing, they say DO NOT DRY FIRE

  • mags are 32 bucks a piece i bought 4 for mine. Its the same mag as thr rmr 30 rifle as well I cant waight

  • as cool as this gun is it had 3 issues during the video...1. the mag release design is flawed if you accidentally drop it whilst dis/engaging the safety...2. the mag dropped during firing...3. in that brief moment it wouldnt load...needs work kel tec....

  • bump fire it plz that would be cool

  • Is Kel-Tec manufacturing this weapon again? I was looking for one about 3-4 months ago and was told and found that the PMR-30 was having major issues with the rifling in the barrel so they stopped production. A guy that a local gun show in Ohio told me that they will not produce them again. Anyone got any info..

  • please do a video on the FN five seven, 5.7x28mm

  • @JacobTheWaterboy I'm with you on that. It would be nice.

  • @JacobTheWaterboy thats the gun Hasan used to murder 13 people on Nov 5th 2009

  • @afinny02 You had a point with this statement, I'm sure..What that point was, exactly...

  • @JacobTheWaterboy I'll even add a thumbs up with a comment! I think he'd have fun with it.

  • I owned a Grendel P-30 years ago . It wasnt that accurate , or maybe it was me , but it too had a 30rd mag and was a blast to shoot.

  • Finally someone who puts the sights in the right order, why would you ever use red in front and green at the rear

I can barely see the red front sight of my Weihrauch hw40 in this dark room

  • it looks like robocop's sidearm. similar muzzle flash.

  • @RTFmajor A little bit. Robocop's gun is a Beretta 93R, though.

  • Nice gun for the ole lady while you away. Its darn near a sub machine gun!

I had a 22 wmr in the LMT automag II when I was a teeny bopper but It jammed more than I cared for and I didnt have the money, means or knowledge to fix it and and so I traded it. :( The .22 mag as a pistol is a sweet shooter that can fill many roles including self defense.

  • @shdwofhanzo AMT Automag II :) been a long time

  • Had 22mag in a rifle an hunted with it an enjoyed the round.

  • you, sir, are a helluva shot. i'da struggled to hit that gong at that range with a hand grenade.

  • I wonder if anyone makes a pistol like this in 30 caliber carbine?

  • I love the one I have

  • do some sniper aktion! :D

  • Remind me the Grendel P-30.

  • What ever happened to the PLR 16 you did a short video with?

  • Mr. Hickok45, have you tried, or have you seen the ISSC M22? it's basically a 22lr glock clone/or training pistol for the glock?

  • Woah! This must be one of the guns from the movies that never has to be reloaded!

  • "Oh, let's put some more rounds in. What the heck?" Something most shooters say every time they shoot.... lol

  • not the greatest plinking gun because of ammo price for cci's there just short of 10 dollars for 50 rounds, but the round gets the job done.

  • Comment removed

  • I would like to inform everyone that the Kel-tec PMR-30 has been suspended due to a keyholding problem. It has improper rifling as well.

  • @Ratkill9000 That was back in May of 2011...I wonder if they've sorted it since then.

  • @mgospeed31 Hope they did. For about $300 this gun looks awesome. I dont trust the .22lr because they jam very easily.

  • " You could do worse than a .22mag.......beat someone with stick probably".......hahaha! This looks like a real cool gun just to mess around with. 30 round in a handgun, how could that not be fun? Great review as always hickok

  • What a cool little gun! Thanks for the video!

  • How much does one go for?

  • "It beats a big stick" LOL!! Thats awesome....

  • I've noticed you've never made a video for a .22magnum carbine, like the ones from Henry. Keltec is an interesting company though, innovative; however quality isnt exactly that of ruger or remington

  • I think you can make a song with your targets O.O

  • talk about a "shot placement " gun...lol

  • Sry but I think that pistol is ugly, I hope somebody make a 1911 styled .22 WMR

  • @theroyalgrapefruit the AMT Automag II was similar externally. Too unavailable and expensive now to consider.

  • Hickock got some new ears!

  • how is 22mag more reliable than 22lr?

  • I was at the range the other day, and the guy in the bay next to me is shooting something with a very VERY deep voice!! BOOM!! BOOM!!! Not having ever seen a 22 Mag, I see these skinny shells on the floor, and peek around the corner, and ask... "What is that?". He was very friendly and I couldn't believe how light it was! I must have one!! :-)

  • That looks real nice.

  • I want one. its kinda funny looking but I like it. It seems to run well. and wow thats light!!!

  • they need to make a 22lr and a 17hmr as well

  • @danthman114 .17 HMR Doesn't function in a semi auto action I've heard (not saying that it's fact) I've never seen a .17 HMR semi auto in any rifle or pistol as well.

  • @Fordfanforlife777 all the 17hmr is, is a necked down 22mag to 17. it would work if the 22mag did...

  • Kel-tec firearms are kinda like bigfoot.I've seen pictures and people claim to have seen them but I remain a skeptic on there existence.:) Maybe they are available now but a year ago my local gun shop just laughed at me when I said that I wanted to order one.

  • for some reason i vaguely remember seeing this gun in a youtube video about at shot show i think last year

  • almost time for a new burn barrel

  • Seems to be a lot of plastic. I'd prefer a stainless AMT Automag II if it were reliable and I had the dough.

  • kel-tec sucks!

  • @1smoke2eat3sleep so if someone aimed one at you, you'd say "go ahead and shoot!"?

  • man this is a hard to find gun,

  • I love 22mag, cheap to shoot, easy to control, more punch than 22LR, less recoil than other calibers, but the gun is not legal here in CA, and there are not a lot of 22mag handguns here in CA to buy.........sucks!

  • Sorry I count see trading that for my colt new agent it's just to small but impressive capacity

  • I thought that gun would be a jam-o-matic but not so, i may be interested

  • That thing was so fun to shoot. The sights glow so bright it makes the black targets hard to make out... Still hit the gong with it though. Also very skinny grip makes for a unique feel.

  • I'm guessing PMR-30 stands for Polymer Magnum Rimfire & 30 is for the magazine capacity.

  • if they made this in a small pocket gun, someone like Kahr or Glock, i think it would sell like that cakes. I also would not be surprised if it was better self defense that a .380. The .22LR CCI Velociter has showen the same or better ballistics in ballistic gel as a .380

  • hickok why not test the Kel Tec SU16 in .223?

  • @corporalbrig why not wait and see?

  • @corporalbrig good call, maybe in the E-configuration. With the pistol grip. He would get a good chuckle. Great gun though.I have one.

  • a velocity test in a 6" barrel for 22wmr, from BuffmanLT1 's youtube, shows ~1300 fps, compared to ~1100 fps for a 22LR per various tests I just googled for the ruger mIII.

  • It took me a few watches before I got your "university that makes guns" joke, but once it set in, I laughed so hard. That's why I love these videos.

I love that gun too, it's just too bad I'll never be able to own one. They'd never let us have something like that in NY.

  • the muzzle flash on that thing is awesome!

  • So uhh, anyone know how much this thing costs?

  • @Roamingdead19 IF (and that's a big if) you can FIND the damn thing, prepare to pay at least MSRP for it ($415) if not alot more. Everyone and their greasy greasy granny wants one.

  • All those Kel-Tec things look so modern, it's a sweet style those have.

  • Man, it just makes me nervous how much it looks like and sounds like a plastic toy. Just you gripping it sounds like a toy.

  • Damn that thing was alot louder than i thought it was.lol

  • I would Not rely on that for defense,give me an accurate,low recoil .45acp and I'm content.like a usp or a kimber

  • @mikethemaniac1 haha. you obviously are ill-educated on guns. good luck in the firearm morld

  • I noted an awful lot of flash during the high speed trigger pull , Is that common on the magnum 22 ?

  • @johnclintonlopez its common for any magnum round. its to do with the charge of the powder

  • Dig your videos, keep up the good work!

  • robocop

  • i need 1 of them nice gun to shoot n the backyard

  • Saw one of these for the first time being fired about 2 hours ago at the range. Talk about a cool lookin gun. Accurate as a whip, love the capacity, awesome sights and CRAZY muzzle flash. I loved it.

  • I would love one of these in a .22 lr. Really there's no need for a .22 mag, there's nothing it can do that long rifle can't. I don't think there are ANY hi-cap .22 lr pistols out there. Great video though.

  • @xBossAwesomex um..the WMR has 740 more fps that the LR. and for a pistol as opposed to a rifle that's more than ideal.

  • @513Scotchpagan I know the WMR is more powerfull, but what can you kill with a .22 mag the .22 LR can't take down? And .22 LR is MUCH cheaper to shoot.

  • @xBossAwesomex yea you're right. the best perk of the WMR is the terminal ballistics. the extra 200 fps drives the bullet further into a target and shreds more. *hella tissue damage

  • @xBossAwesomex The .22 WMR has much better ballistics (like 50% better) than the standard 22lr in a rifle barrel e.g.20" but the difference is less in a short barrel. That muzzle flash is unburned powder.

  • @sethdog1000 Again, I know the .22 mag is more powerful, but not by that much. CCI stingers shoot a 32 grain .22lr bullet at almost 1700 fps. Thats not far behind a .22 mag. And even with the additional power from the .22 mag, what can you kill with that that you cant with a .22lr?

  • @xBossAwesomex In a shot show video Kel-Tec said they were working on the lr version. I would buy one asap if they had it. It would be usful for a shit ton of stuff

  • @TactiKoolStuff Sweet!

  • @xBossAwesomex As far as capactiy goes, kel tech also makes a pistol called the plr-22, a .22lr pistol based on their 5.56 plr-16. On their website, it is listed as having a 26 round capacity, but you might be thinking of high cap. as equal to or greater than 30 rounds.

  • @xBossAwesomex idk about that i would rather go fox hunting or keep away the ferrel dogs with a henry .22magnum or a remington 597 .22magnum than a .22lr. a shot to the face with an lr could just reeealy piss off a fox or rabid dog, while a .22magnum will definitly deal with it.

  • @xBossAwesomex Well you know that .22Lr and .22Sr have a tendency to jam up on a semi-auto rifle and pistol well that magnum seems like it'll reduce those odds.

  • lolol at the university thing

  • I got mine today!!!!!!!

  • REVIEW THE KSG.!!

  • they ought to make a smaller version of that for concealed carry...

  • is 22

  • *pretty

  • Is it petty reliable?

  • Hey hickok45 have you ever shot a .50cal on the compound???

  • With a .22 magnum, it wouldnt make a bad self defense gun. .22 magnum hollowpoints are nothing to sneer at provided your attacker isnt wearing full body armor :D

  • that's when you suggest to keltec to make this in 5.7x28mm, a round which was designed to defeat body armor...

  • @caseyreavis Yah, wouldnt that be the bomb :D Never owned a FN 57 (or whatever its called) but I do hear they made that round specifically for armored targets and apparently it works pretty damn well (HK made a MP7 with that round too I think, I'd have loved to own one of them). For civilian self-defense situations though .22 magnum would be more then sufficient with hollow points. If anything is still standing after taking even 2-3 of those (with 28 or so to go), just run I say lol.

  • @caseyreavis Sorry the MP7 was 4.6x30, my error.

  • @shkotay Those two rounds were tested against each other to see which had the best ballistic performance. The better round was going to be used as the new generic smg/pdw round. The 5.7x28mm won by far, but H&K decided to use 4.6x30mm anyway, even though it has less stopping power and less potential penetration.

I have a ps90 (5.7x28mm) and i love the 5.7 round, low recoil, super accurate, great penetration and the cartridge itself is pretty sexy looking.

  • @RobotEnough5143 I hate you :P The P90 is essentially next to impossible to get in Canada. I think (not sure) they fall under the prohibited category :( I usually drool over them when I hit Cabela's in Duluth. Oddly, if I can scrape enough $ together i can own a FN 57. I might try it sometime this year, that round looks cool as hell and altough somewhat costly, the pistol itself isnt as bad as I would have thought for its exoticness. I just have to find a seller.

  • That looks close to the Five Seven hand gun, just smaller lol.

  • Hey Hickok, long time fan. Just want to say THANKS ALOT.. been wanting one of these forever but Kel-Tec is missing the boat on production of these. I get to watch others play with it, but can't even find one to hold myself. Tell your T&E rep to get on the ball and get these in production again. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

  • that's a pretty gun. I'd love to see one chambered in 5.7x28, or maybe even 7.62x33.

  • A Ruger Hat!! No Glock? Are you converting LOL!!! Great Video, as always my friend!!

  • I just thought of something when I saw you checking to see how many rounds are left in the mag at 9:05. Why are a lot of pistol mag witness holes on the right side if pistols are generally made for right hand dominant people? Even ambidexterous pistols like this PMR-30 have the witness holes on the right side.

  • nice vid as always. I was thinking about this gun but have read bad things about it..

love that range! landscape looks alot like here in ky.

  • id love to see them make it in 22lr

  • Great video as usual

Just wish I could find one for sale here in Mn

    And not over msrp

Everyone is out of stock online
