The only thing that is really still worrysome about Russia is the population decline. If the population keeps dropping industrial capacity will decrease and Russia will probably get eaten up by China or something... the population has to grow.

Russia was actually very evil, corrupt and imperialistic. USSR had killed,oppressed millions of its own people and tried to annex nearly all half of Europe during WW2 and the cold war. USSR back then killed and annexed countries to support its agenda.
At least the US tries to help other countries. South Korea and Japan are wealthy countries today because the US rebuilt them, while Russia had managed to turned North Korea and Vietnam into shitholes.

US GDP is now around 12-12.5 trillion (and thats still fake really due to FED funny-money) and the debt is around 15 trillion and increasing at 1 trillion / year.... that is worse than WW2 and any time in US history.
Superpower? Yeah US will be a superpower in conventional weapons until 2100 probably but not economically with that kind of debt. Russia on the other hand should recover very strongly as the world continues to grow and energy becomes in very high demand and value.

I am against this Missle "Defense" Program. If it really is for protection against Iran, wouldn't it be in Greece or Turkey, over which the missle would fly over? Seriously, if Iran launches a missle into Italy, France, or The Balkans, what good would a defense system in Poland be? The missles can't protect Southern Europe. yes. Bush gave support to Georgia,military support, weapons, built bases, which Georgia interpreted as a green light to invade south ossetia. You have to be very careful about what you say and how your actions are interpreted when you are president. A cowboy president can start wars without even comprehending what they did. Now we need Obama to clean up this mess. It sounds like this is his top priority, as he is already planning a meeting with russia and poland.

What's the problem with russian Iskanders?
If american anti-missiles are supposed to protect from Iran, Iskanders are for the same purpose! Russia is much closer to Iran than USA, no surprise Russia also wants to protect itself from evil Iran.
If radars in Czech and Poland are NOT against Russia, missiles in Kaliningrad are NOT against Czech and Poland. I think, this is more than clear.

This Missle System is a clear provocation against Russia.Not only that it is complete useless especially for the official reason it will be build for(Iran),no its also dangerous for peace in Europe.I think the real reason is not only the provocation of russia,but also to make the EU-Russian and the inner EU relations worse.If it is against Iran,why dont they build in Iraq,Afghanistan,Saudi-Arabia or Israel?Wouldnt that be much more usefull than on the border to Russia???

America and the NATO are like a Cancer,no wants it,but everyone gets it.Our European Governments are sending Soldiers to die in Iraq and Afghanistan,and for what?To fight "Terrorists",which wouldnt even exist if the U.S didnt produced them.They send Milliards to help the so called "Young Democraties"instead of using it where its really needed for example Shools,Education,helath system.And especially Poland and Czhechia could do something better with their money than building Rocket systems..

Serously.. governments and government officials are the cause of these wars and tensions. Weapons and technology races and threats and demands are the causes of tensions and wars. They were the cause all along. Yet they destroy the people of those countries who had nothing to do with it. I personally have nothing against russia or any other country, much less a reason to go to war with anyone.
Maybe the government officials should suit up and battle it out until no war starters are left?
