  • @xDoubleMxx

  • How high of notes do you start using the trigger? I usually use it for C on the 3rd space and above

  • I have my etudes (for trombone) down and they sound good. what would you suggest to not over practice etudes? since the audition is so far away.

  • what mouthpiece do you use?

  • what mou

  • my favourite etude.

hey, sir, be my private lesson teacher? :D

  • Do you live within an hour or so of Rockwall tx?

  • how would you recommend dealing with braces and horn playing, I've been at allstate level since last year, but I'm afraid i can't make it this year, im getting this awful screeching sound when i try to get above me high f D: please help mister palmer

  • @udienowisay

Braces and horn playing. Use invisalign. Failing that, they have braces that can mount on the back of your teeth. or they have really tiny braces.

But seeing as how this is all probably a moot point, I suggest buying a mouthpiece pressure trainer online for about $100. use it to lessen the mouthpiece pressure.

find where you can still play, then extend your range outward, chromatically.

do tons of lip bends, and mouthpiece buzzing.

  • Oh my god your amazing

  • @MrLilguppy

    You're so nice :-)

  • Can you explain what the trills in the ad lib section should be.... I'm not sure what to do when I get to those as far as what note to trill to?

  • I teach just east of Dallas, in Rockwall.

  • Do you do lessons anywhere near the DFW area?

  • For that trill, I suggest 0-23. Lip up a bit on the g. And blow your air like a laser. That'll smooth it out.

  • @horn1palmer any recommendations for the other trills?

  • On the G trill I need to go between G & Ab right? So far I've tried switching from open to T23, 23, and T2, but none of them sound, or are, as easy to do as the D to Eb trill. It might be something I just have to work on getting smooth, but if you have any advice regarding the matter it'd be greatly appreciated!
