was there... forgot that the light jam was halfway decent. I love the cover of Golden Age too... but the transition is awful! Trey just plows through while everyone else is trying to pull it further into outer space. jam'borted.

Phuckin' Phish phans! I love Phish jk. Anyone who's seen any jam band more than 50 times is going to be a critic whether they can help or not. Fact of the matter is that I don't believe any show is terrible (there are exceptions out there). Someone seeing Phish for the first time might think it's the most amazing concert they've ever seen while a seasoned vet. is all meh that sucked. The whole thing is stupid but that's how it works.

this jam gets such bad credit just because of the segue. so what, trey likes Golden Age, got a little too excited, it happens. Up until the segue, this jam was unlike anything i, personally, had ever herd before, and that same vein of creative improvisation was present in literally every single song they played throughout the whole run. Not only that, but they we're tighter than usual (check out Pebbles and Marbles). some risks were taken, but im excited for the future. They're not slowin' down!

Trey totally assassinated the phlow on this one. Nice start but damn if he didnt stomp the flames out to force Golden Age. I always will love this band but this radio edit phish is simply a neutered version of yesteryear or phish OG.

@AZZAHMAN Segue seemed a lot better than most lately.

Their improv is astounding right now. I know there isn't enough of it for most people, but some people really can't get a grip on the fact that this is what Phish is now, and that they apparently listened to the fans who wanted them to bring it back to the 91-92 era instead of the 97 era. And no, taking it back to 1992 stylistically doesn't magically imbue them with those chops again.

@matteaucubed 1st of all I don't do drugs especially at a Phish show. 2nd of all go through the years there buddy the NYE show was the weakest in history. Want a good NYE run check out the 97 run at MSG and thats how its suppose to be done. Most people such as yourself look at this band through rose colored glasses and think no matter what Phish is awesome no matter what..... Blah after 106 shows I know I had already witnessed the band at their best. Still love em but this run was a total stink

@joejoesmiles76 Oh, you seasoned veteran. A total stink? Compared to... what, the best Phish has ever played? Mayhaps. Doesn't mean it wasn't good. You don't have to be such a downer. I was at this show and loved every minute of it, probably because I was just along for the ride instead of intently inspecting and critiquing. Just because someone enjoyed the show (and were using drugs- I know, roll your eyes) doesn't mean they're a disillusioned child.
