The number of feet is just a number.. If you look closely, the tree doesn't actually grow.. It just stretches a few cm and goes back again, so it can probably grow infinitively

@Eemmzzi actually, the limit is 2,147,483,647 (two billion, one hundred forty-seven million, four hundred eighty-three thousand, six hundred forty-seven) feet tall. If you grow it any taller, it will shrink back to an eternal stage of being a sapling (meaning it will stay a sapling forever no matter how much food you give it). And yes, the last tip is at 1,000 feet. :)
