i like this jazz anthem b/c it is so iconic, memorable and ageless, and can be done in so many genres, even with the banjo, all the best for the new year every one and thank you Mr Corea

whats everybodys problem? always putting down something just cause you dont get it. i love jazz, fusion, metal, and country. i dont particularly like hip-hop but i can see why people do. all of these genres really help each other grow. thats why there are so many sub-genres. to say that a genre in general suck is pretty ignorant cause there is no way you could have heard of every band within that text. and who wants to be ignorant?
these guys are laying back on this tune, it's really nice... they have come a long way since the earlier performances this line up did, i.e. charged particles... this is Patituci (sp.?!) on bass right?!
dimebag was kind of the fastest fingers ive seen but not the greatest guitarist a guitarist takes much more than quick fingers pal, try seeyin narciso yepes THAT is a guitarist, not just a guitarist but a great musician
@raulaerosmith I take a huge amount of offense by you saying that Dimebag was not a great musician. There's more to music than speed yes, but again it is incredibly insulting and ill informed that Dimebag's only asset was speed.
@raulaerosmith I'm not saying he is up there with the great jazz masters like Pass, but if you listen to planet caravan by pantera at 2.32 you can't say that is just emotionless shredding.
you can see that when the guitar solo starts, the player is too early. Chick Corea wants to play the theme, but the guitarist is wrong. You can see him laugh when he hears its not solo time yet
If I may be so bold, the tempo of tune is way too slow, which would explain Weckl's approach. Either way, a solid, though not incredibly energetic performance.
