You are not free. A slave is a person who does not own their time or their labor, if you do not have control over your own time and labor, how are you free?

Because I paid nothing for my own labor, everything I receive is income. @bosunbilly That is the dumbest version of labor theory of value I have ever read. The only person who determines what your labor is worth, is the person willing to pay you to employ your labor. What you are trying to say is that your labor is worthless because you obtained it for "free". So the government is the owner of your labor? Spoken like a true slave.

@Elasaltaculos @Elasaltaculos It is difficult to describe “labor” as a form of property when labor is, by definition, something that has not yet been done. If I start the week with no money, am paid $100 for my labor, and end the week with $100, I am $100 richer than I was at the beginning of the month. That $100 gain is an “undeniable accession to wealth” (in the words of the Supreme Court), and therefore income. Because you lack the education doesn't make the labor theory I've outlined dumb.

It is an exchange. If you do not own the fruits of your labor then you are oppressed, whether you want to admit it or not. Economic theories do not change like technology does, dumbass. There is nothing more sophisticated about today's economic thinkers than Adam Smith, David Ricardo, or Frederic Bastiat amongst others.
