Falsetto does not mean false, it is no fault, it is just a technique. Only the top edges of the vocal chords are used, the rest does not move. It's headvoice. If everything moves, it is chestvoice, but that gives a much lower sound. Most women can reach pretty high in chest, but above F5 even soprano's have to shift to headvoice.
