I once saw Bernard in a club in Bradford. The best comedian i have ever scene, he ripped into everybody in the club that night - regardless of race, colour and creed. The strange thing is, he brought the audience closer together, we all shared something in common - laughing at ourselves.

He wasn't playing an Alf Garnett character on stage. What the act was, was what he put on to his Indian neighbours. True enough there were (still are) folks that found his jokes offensive. I'm Pakistani myself but I respect him for the fact that he didn't sugar coat any of his jokes, if he had a joke to tell he did so without reservation.

Im what you may call liberal, very anti-racist and a fan of alternative comedy, yet I totally support Manning, he's sharp, witty, truly funny.
