hahaha you are right!!! but i want to say my flight to Bahrain with Golf Air was the worst ever . the flight attendants were so rude OMG !!! the first time i asked for water politely , she said '' why do you push the button just for water !'' I was shocked and felt sorry for their low characteristics
Btw, I hav flwn a good deal-domestic US, transatlantic and inside of Europe. Having a good crew means a LOT when youre "strapped in" your seat. Ive flwn mostly economy, but even business/first class on occasion on my own account, not sme company paying for me.
Isnt it all just abt having common snse? If u treat people nicely, u hopefully get treated nicely back. Courtesy goes a long way-if u hav any kind of upbringing. I understnd tht not everybdy has tho, hence ths vid;)! Most of the time crew r good, evn if u can smetimes sense thyre maybe not having their best day, but being proffesional they pull it off anyway. Ive experienced the oposite as well, where crew hav a really bad attitude taking their mood out on u. So i guess its give and take.
@TheCali68 It is definitely common sense & give & take. There can be some bitchy crew & we all have to pay attention to our attitudes & the way we treat people. A smile & hello go on long way for passengers and crew! Thanks so much for your feedback~Happy Flying!
Spitting into food before serving is really a very unrespected move... but it probably still are ppl doing it out there... Restaurant waiters and hotel room service, ... U better dun piss them up!!!!
I never asked any questions when approached by staff about being reseated, it just causes delays. Its the flgiht attendants cabin, they call the shots, there is no way around it. Saying hello and goodbye helps and a "please" when asking for a tea goes a long way.
Its their office, behave like it. If someone storms into your office behaving like a pr*ck that owns you, what kind of service you'd give him? Exactly.
I think this was a great video, I travel alot - and always say hi, thanks and pick up after myself. I worked in the airline industry for 8 years. But I moved on after my airline laid off half their work force. But ladies, one thing that I hate hearing on aboard - is there a doctor on the flight. I'd rather have you ask for a paramedic. I know now that I am one we'd be better trained to deal with pre-hospital care than a regular doctor. Thanks ladies for the humor and the walk down memory lane.
If u survived a trip to Delhi n back , successfully handled 5 different versions of vegetarian meals out of a total of 150 requests, you have nothing to fear darling!
I have been flying for over 20 years and I agree with everything you say. I wish all our passengers could see this because I am sure they would think twice before they open thier mouths. Why oh why do most business class passengers treat us like the lowest form of life, or uneducated airheads. I have a universtiy degree but chose to fly.
@psrpippy I always found it was the upgrades that were the most demanding & the "Elite" Business passengers had their few requests & then were happy for the most part. I was always very attentive & nice to everyone until they became high maintenance. I made it a point to be non judgmental & treat everyone the same. It usually worked out but there is always one that wants that 24/7 attention. Many F/A's now have University degrees & years ago you had to be a nurse! Thanks for writing xo
@psrpippy I am not F.A. I don't understand why people are rude or a jack ass. you folks walk millions of miles a year helping people. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way. I say to All F.A.'S thank you.
I am a Dutch flight attendant and it surprises me how much we are alike.
I could have made the same speech. Very well done!!
To the people who don't understand this: yes, we are paid to work, and yes, from your money, but this is in your interest too. If you treat us well, we treat you very well. That way, everybody is happy!
@doornroosjedepoosje thanks for writing. I think this is pretty universal with most flight attendants. I hope things are great for you & flying is going really well. I don't miss my job but I still see many flight attendants socially. The best part of the job was the friendships with the crews. It is like family forever. ~xo
flite attendents is jest a joke. get them off the plane and let the custamers handle evrey thing them selfs. I aint stand the site of thees peeple on the plane.
thees fuckin krauts aint knowed that we pays there salery. thees grunts need to be respeckable to us paying custamers. damn grunts better do there job the ways we expeck them to do it for the money we pay them.
ok just so i can be nice to the crew when im flying for cristmas or any other holiday and want to give them something nice. how many are usualy on a normal flight? international that is.
@sadman0811 hi there...There is usually anywhere between 7 and 14 flight attendants and 3 pilots depending on the airline and the size of the plane. Chocolates go a long way or baked goods. Even the smallest gesture is very appreciated. Having to work during the holidays is very tough for many people and can be lonely for some. Thanks for asking. xo
con't then when we got on the plane it was filthy broken cups everywhere rubbish thrown everywhere it was awful then when we got in the air we were told by the captain that we had to a detour over northern europe and partly though hungery where we did have official permission to fly or so he told us stay quiet and the lights had to be turned of while flying over yet seeing the Hungarian st's below were amazing though yet it took us 5 hlf hrs to get than 4hrs that it shld have done plus cold food
what great attendants I have flown dozen times one scariest flights I had been on was coming back from turkey we had already been waiting over 6 plus to take off and the plane we should had took another grp of passengers to different part of the uk which cheesed off a load manchester uk passengers off and then we had wait for plane fr cypress to take of which took an additional 2 hrs to come plus it was the day of summer season and there where no reps to ask just turkish security it was con't
The best receptionist I had who worked for me was a flight attendant. She would have worked for me forever, until she had to go back being an attendant. Once a flight attendant, always a flight attendant I guess. She still visits once in a while if in town. The job's so stressful and fatiguing that they have to have a sense of humor and professionalism.
Once on a flight with my infant, two attendants held and helped with the baby on the 12 hour flight! Respect.
Thanks for your feedback! You are right that once a flight attendant always a flight attendant. I still want to help people in airports and assist in medical situations. It is instilled forever. That's a GOOD thing. xoxo
Now who's being judgmental! Steal from the plane? Abuse sick time? You must be in management. Oh and by the way, Sandra has never been a flight attendant or did you not get that?
You would be pleased to know. Thankful my manginal dryness has mostly cleared up since also leaving the Friendly Skys shortly after Susan did. I had the pleasure of working many times and sharing laughs. Was sad to see ya go - Thrilled to see you NOW! You both are Wonderful Together.
this is funny!!!!!!!!!!! (LOVE that: a family of 6 show up 1 minute before closing and are pissed off that they cant 'sit together'?? dont they know that FAs dont care that they cant afford their own private jet and have to suck it up and separate little timmy from mommy?) thanks for posting!
Actually, it was true in the last two years I flew. I did mostly overseas which meant 10-15 hour flights. Out of 300 passengers per flight, someone usually fainted, had an anxiety attack or had more serious ailments. Flying became more stressful after 911, which was part of the problem. Alcohol and medication have added to the medical situations.
As an ex "Air Mattress" I can say that every single comment they made is so very true. Over 10 years flying I met so many people who didn't realize we got paid from the time the door shut until it opened. Pretty rough considering boarding and deplaning is so stressful. Be kind to the crew and your flight will be so much nicer! The Beavers Rock!
Hey, some of this goes for the pelicans on the ground...like ticket agents. why people think they have control of mother nature? Re food...never piss off anyone that is serving you food, as you have no idea what they can do behind the curtains. BE NICE!!

This would have been so much better if only the actual hostess spoke. Her friend ruined the rhythm and made it hard to follow it easily.
You were preaching to the choir - I always follow these rules - some because I am polite by nature?! and others because I have met some socially.
