Your video is really touching. Every day, without my mother even realizing, she tells me that gay is wrong. It's devil's work. She wants to move so she's not around this lifestyle. She has no idea that she is causing internal pain to me and sometimes I think that it really doesn't get better. Everyone hates me, I'll have no one to love. It won't happen. Seeing you two being happily married and enjoying life gives hope to me. I can look and say, "Someday I'll have that."

I just wanted to articulate how thankful I am for your video. I am growing up in a very conservative christian environment where I am frequently told that monogamous relationships do not exist in the gay community, or at least they don't last. I wanted to let you know that your video has really impacted me. I really want to believe that life gets better, but when I find myself in a christian microcosm that says for people like me life won't get better I have doubt that it will.

The two older gay couples I know personally have both been together longer than I've been alive. And that's not rare. There's a lot of myths and bullshit out there, but please try to ignore it. If the idea of getting married someday appeals to you, you have every reason to believe it will happen.

My wife, Julie, and I have been together for 10 years. It took 5 years before her mother would even talk to me, and 8 years before she first stepped into our home. Last Christmas she celebrated with us at our house. Never give up. You are loved for just who you are.
This is legit. I love the look and little smile you both have when the other is speaking. I can't wait to have that with someone. :)
