I don't see why some people had a problem with them. Other than straying from our blue and gold heritage, those were by far the most intimidating jerseys in the league. The red, black and white was badass, the slug was a downgrade.

But it doesn't matter because next year we are getting new jerseys and logos for the 40th Anniversary season anyway.

i did like them, but however i think the original blue and gold logo by far is one of the best logos in sports. our alternates by the way are the jerseys next year, with a white of the same colors based on the original design. its going to look phenominal.

What an amazing team we had that year. If we didnt have 4 starting defenseman out and one of our best goal scorers we would have clean Carolinas clock and everyone knows it. It sounds like a typical excuse from a Sabres fan but let me tell you its a damn good excuse. Everyone knows the Buffalo Sabres were the best team in the 05/06 playoffs and should have won the cup. Someday Lord Stanley will be ours Buffalo.
