  • UUUUUUU

  • What up CANE.

  • Welcome to the []_[]

  • I hope he Transfer to Wash now, Mallett left Big Blue and it worked out for him.

  • @dover5005 Tate welcome to the U

  • @TheNextAriGold Dickrod is GONE!!!! Like I said he'd be!!!!

    Go Blue!

  • Well there's the problem!

When has anyone with a French name had success in American Football (and the classroom) ?

And whats up with this gay soundtrack? Mathew Santos/Usher WTF? Coldplay wants their riff back!

  • SOB the first game was my school. LOL

  • hes better here b/c he can c over his linemen,

  • tate is the man

  • BEAST MODE

  • SCRIPPS SUCKS

    GO SERRA

  • too bad we destroyed you

  • This kid is the next Time Tebow, he runs fast and isn't afraid to do it. Great arm too.

  • go blue

  • Dude's got good feet thats apparent, but I dunno if he has enough speed tho. Definately will have to be more of a passer then rich's last prodigy pat white.

  • Saw him in the spring game back in April. He definitely has speed, and he's shifty as hell! One heck of an arm too! Some of the throws he made in that spring game alone, were crazy! He is going to be just fine!

  • hopefully he's the savior that we need.

    Go Blue!!!

  • lets hope he saves rodriguez's job..

  • Denard robinson and tate= future of u of m football

  • what time is the spring game gonna be on (TV) and is it on the big ten channel?

  • I have been watching this kid on the net for a while now and was hoping he would come to Arizona State. Kind of surprised at Michigan but I wish him good luck.

  • FUCK U Hawaii2DaRanch i don't know what this is about but still GO WORSHIP UR NUTS u bitcheye fan

  • I made a passing comment about how i think tate forcier will do in the future. that's what this videos about. if i knew a bunch of faggots from the cold, angry side of my country would start some shameless name-calling, i wouldn't have. brewlamen, u started this by attacking me personally, so u and the raider fan can stuff a dick in it. btw, raiders suck... move 200 miles south n root for a real team.

  • By telling your adolecent ass that Tates "Asshole" will be fine playing at Michigan?

Boy, your definition of an "attack" needs some brushing up shaggy.

Admit it, you were trying to talk shit about Tate, that was the only reason you visited this video. Like I said, Tate must of kicked your ass or gave you a swirly or something, why else would you be shit-talking? Just do what everyone is telling you to do...GET LOST D-bag!!

  • "i knew a bunch of faggots from the cold, angry side of my country would start some shameless name-calling"

And this is a passing comment and not shameless name calling? WTF.....

Yeah, just STFU shaggy and stop playing the victim here!

  • Okay, here's an actual response to your assertion that Tate won't be successful in the NFL. There's only two reasons why you'd say that: height, weight.

Height: Drew Brees is 6'0", as was Michael Vick. Drew Brees has no problem seeing the field.

Weight: He's got 4 years to put on weight.

Other than that, Tate's got a great arm, intelligence, accuracy, and leadership qualities. So you may have a life, but you are wrong. Way to insult a 17-year-old kid on his highlight tape too.

  • Good luck Michigan... he's good for high school, but the NFL would fuck his asshole quick if he ever were to make it. Let's see what the NCAA does when he doesn't know when to throw.

  • Ehh, he's going to Michigan, not the NFL dipshit, so at this present time, his "asshole" is safe, homoHawaii

  • Look... I said good luck michigan because I know like everyone else, he's not going to the NFL. Dipshit. I used the ass-fucking phrase to emphasize just how bad he's going to be for your school. At this present time, he IS safe. because he's at SRHS, not the NCAA, u big fucking coodle.

  • coodle? Look at your fucking picture douchebag, get laid often? I think not!

He'll be fine at Michigan, sounds like you're just jealous he made his way to Ann Arbor and didn't stay out on the west coast slappy. If Tate has a college career that even remotely resembles his HS carrer, he'll play in the NFL. Why you hating on Tate anyway? Did he whoop your ass or something? Judging by your nerdy looking mug on your channel, I bet you get your ass kicked on a daily basis fuckboy!

  • Oh, I tore a cunt-muscle alright, your Mom's that is!

And just because YOU never set foot on a football field, doesen't mean you need to go around youtube and talk shit to fans OR players of the game shaggy! And what's your channel chucked full of? That's right, JERKOFF MATERIAL and stupid ass videos of yourself (looking like a douchebag) freestyling. This leads me to believe you're a fucking loser who's still in search of a life! Don't worry about Tate, he'll be fine as will I laddy-buck!

  • K. I'm gonna go back to looking for a life, you keep talking shit on the internet. Have fun with it.

And have fun freezing your ass off every day in good ol' michigan... I'm str8 KICKIN IT in Honolulu Hawaii.

  • "you keep talking shit on the internet"

Hey, I wasn't the one who started all the shit-talking here pal, but alright, glad to hear you're attempting to make a move on getting a life.

  • Sadly though, I don't think Forcier will get that much time in the pocket.. :|

Oh well, I think he has great potential. UM will be back!

    Go Blue!

  • amaizenblue86: he will get much more time in the pocket then Threet or SheriDONE did. The offensive line is going to be tremendously improved due to experience, and Forcier can actually buy time for himself in the pocket thanks to his legs, unlike Threet or SheriDONE. i'm not worried about Forcier in the pocket. He'll be fine back there.

  • I agree he'll be better than Sheridan or Threet, and I'm excited to see him play.

  • oh, he was the best at the spring game! i went and he was by far the best quarterback, he can run and throw.

  • Awesome!

    Go Blue!

  • hawaii go fuck yourself u started this shit, no one loves you, and no one will miss u if u leave so die u cunt

  • Dude shut the hell up Hawaii isnt any better than Michigan because Hawaii aint shit without Colt Brennan I bet u Michigan could beat them with the team they had last season.

  • Hahahaha, ya, I bet we could have!

    Go Blue!

  • Tate and Denard are bringing back the dynasty!

  • I agree.

    Go Blue!

  • @aw4au112 When??

  • Ryan Mallett Chad Henne Mike Hart Jake Long Adam Krause Mario Manningham Adrian Arrington Junior Hemingway Justin Boren rivals 100 Alex Mitchell rivals 100 Cory Zirbel rivals 100 DAMN we lost alot from 2007
  • Nobdy cares about mallet, plus he got arrested for driving while intoxicated a week ago, lol.

    Go Blue!

  • Doesn't it increase the statistical likelihood of early success having two legit guys (Tate and Denard).

  • Yessir, I really do think we can suprise a lot of people how much improvement the entire team has made, and that our two true freshman quarterbacks will be nervous at first, but knowing how Tate is after watching interviews of him and reading articles, he'll shake it off, he has too much swagger and confidence not to shake it off. I'm sure Denard will be able to also.

    Go Blue!

  • Forcier is legit. He has now scarred off 3 different quarterbacks. Newsome, Beaver, and now threet (threet announced today that he is transfering). That goes to show how good Forcier really is.

    Go Blue!

  • Tate Forcier.....running off competition 1 QB at a time.

  • Jerald Robinson (6'3" 185) is supposed to commit today. He is a top 250 (rivals) WR from Canton OH. That's big news. 2010 has Ricardo Miller 6'3", Jerald Robinson 6'3"...and Jeremy Jackson 6'4"......

  • I'm not saying delaware state is an automatic win, thats the exact reason we have lost to app state and toledo, we go into these games thinking it's just a fucking skirmish and we get our ass kicked! It's embarrasing we even scheduled those theams, carr started the trend with that loss, we had a really good team that year and he fucked it up for us, at least last year we had a shit team with a shit quarterback and this year we'll have a spread quarterback who will take care of them.

    Go Blue!

  • Correction: Delware State is on October 17th, not in the season opener. We open with Western Michigan on the road on september 5th, which is the first time we will open a season on the road since Notre Dame in 1998. Delware State is not loaded with NFL talent like App State. They went 5-7 last season and lose everybody on offense. If we don't blowout them out by at elast 30 points.....well, never mind!!

    Go Blue!

  • All my sources say that Western Michigan is a home game...

  • "All my sources say that Western Michigan is a home game"

really? Thats odd. I read in the Detroit free Press that Western Michigan is a home game. But hey, if you say so

  • you were right. Western Michigan is indeed at home. The free press said it was on the road, but rivals says its at home. So yeah, my bad! It'll be nice to open enxt season with 4 straight games at home (and 8 overall)

    Go Blue!

  • Hopefully we can beat Notre Dame...if we could start out 4-0...that would be great from the momentum standpoint...

  • this season's schedule has to be one of the most pussy schedules i have ever seen. hopefully after a few years they will let them play some big 12 teams or sec teams. and i hope they get to play some night games in the future too

  • Hahaha ya it is. Notre lames is even more pussy though. I know we'll be back, and we'll go back to scheduling good teams again, this is basically to get confidence and get the program back on track with wins.

    Go Blue!

  • LOL. Whoever starts at QB for us in the season opener will have a jolly good time ripping apart Delaware State. I say we cut Sheridan a break and let him start that game, then go with Forcier or Threet or Robinson the rest of the season

    Go Blue!

  • Well, from what I have read and heard on a video from Vincent Smith and other players, Forcier has an absolute gun and is pretty accurate!

    Go Blue!

  • His arm has been compared to Chad Henne's and he gives us 4.5 speed. Imagine if Chad Henne could run a 4.5! Wait, now we won't have to imagine. We'll be able to see it.

  • He's definately gonna beat out the Sheriden and Threet for starter next year. he is much more mobile and fits Rich Rod's offense alot better

  • aMAIZE N BLUE!!!

  • Does anyone think he'll take Steven Threet's job as a starterhis freshman year? He looks perfect for RR's spread offense

  • I think that both him and Denard will both have very good shots at starting at QB in their freshman year. I am curious what kind of mix we will throw in, with these two together, and then I'm wondering if he may still throw Threet in there for some conventional looks, kind of like OSU did against Texas. It will definitely be an interesting look, that is for sure.

  • He definitely has a good chance. Unless one of those guys steps up in spring training and claims the job as their own, it'll be a tight race between Threet and forcier all the way up to the first game (which still hasn't been scheduled yet)

  • Florida may say Robinson is theirs, I highly doubt it, I just read that Robinson's coach said that he's choosing between Michigan and UCF, and that pretty much Witty is going where he goes. He's ours, and considering the fact he has a huge desire to play quarterback, Florida wants him as a cornerback/wide receiver. We're the only team who wants him at quarterback, advantage, MICHIGAN.

    Go Blue!

  • I've already heard that he is leaning pretty strongly towards the maize and blue, and where he goes, so does his little buddy Adrian Witty. They make a good team from what I hear.

  • Too bad Tate is already enrolled in school at U of M and working out already with Barwis. Michigan will probably be landing another dual threat QB tomorrow by the name of Denard Robinson, who by the way is also by recruited heavily by Florida. You are a clueless individual. What are you a Suckeye fan. Heard you guys couldn't even bring in Boyd. Mr. sweater vest had to go way into the armpits of QB's to finally get someone to take his scholarship offer. Boy that kid must feel real special.

  • You better think again about your comments of QB's or WR not wanting to go to Michigan cause they won't get a a legit shot at the NFL. How nieve are you? Michigan has one of the biggest Alum bases in the NFL, dude! Look at the most recent super bowl roster this year for starters. There were 7 Michigan Alum's on both teams I don't where you get your garbage knowledge from, you need to do some major research. Everyone knows Michigan is huge for turning out NFL talent. Get a life would ya.

  • and not only were 7 Wolverines in the Super Bowl, but 3 of them played huge rolls:

Lamarr Woodley: 4 tackles and 2 sacks, including the game winning sack and forced fumble. he also put Warner on his back multiple times.

Steve Breaston: 6 catches for 71 yards and a big 34 yard punt return

Gabe Watson: a monster TFL behinf the line of scrimmage when it was 3rd down and goal and it was 17-7 Pitt

    Thats Michigan baby!!

    Go Blue!

  • I really didn't get to watch the whole game on Sunday, because all the men in the family usually congregate over at my brother-in-laws for eats and drinks and to watch the game, and all the women go out to eat, and a movie, and then we come back and watch the rest of the game. By the time I really got to sit down and watch it, it was the end of the 3rd Qtr. going into the 4th, which actually is the best part of the game anyway. But yeah, I heard that those really contributed big time.

  • amen.

  • Quinton washington just commited to the wolverines GO BLUE!!!

  • Quinton just committed? Hell ya! Where did you hear that? ESPN? Go blue baby!!!!!

  • I heard it on rivals. Thats SOOOOO swee that we got Washington! He's a 6'3, 315 pound four star prospect who's ranked as the NO.8 guard in the country, and with our troubles at LG, he could step right in as a starter as a true freshman just like Michael Brewster did with Ohio State and Trevor Robinson did with Notre Dame. What a great pickup!

    Go Blue!

  • Yeah. They are also talking very strongly about Denard and Adrian tomorrow too. I am so excited how this all plays out.

    Go Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We'll get both those guys. Florida can only get Robinson if they offer a schoalrship wo Witty, which they haven't done. But Michigan has offered a scholarship to Witty, so we will get both Witty and Robinson tomorrow. Also, only the florida insiders are saying Robinson is a Gator. Everybody else (neutrel anylisist included) say Robinson is a Wolverine. It'll be a shocker of Robinson is not a Wolverine in 24 hours.

    Go Blue!

  • yeah I feel pretty confident that we will get them both, too. I'm hearing that it is a pretty strong possibility that we will. It really cracks me up when people make comments though about Michigan not being able to put players into the NFL like other so called teams, but yet they have a HUGE volume of alumni in the NFL, that are still very active

  • Robinson and Witty are OURS. I'm a little dissapointed we lost DeQuinta Jones. He was a 6'5, 305 pound four star DT. But the loss of Pearlie Graves means nothing. He was only 260 pounds. he was enver gonig to be a playmaker on the d-line. I hope we get Stokes even though we don't need anymore outside receivers. Stokes is 6'1 and runs a 4.39 forty. it can enver hurt to ahve a receiver like him. Recruiting has gone great thet last two days! Thank God for some good news!

    Go Blue!

  • And the news just keeps getting better. Now Jeron Stokes is OURS as well! Stokes is a little undersized at 6'0, 180, but he's not tiny either, and with 4.41 speed, he can play outside receiver or slot receiver. I'm thinking at this point that Toney Clemosn gets moved to the outside and Stokes joins Feagin, Odoms, t-Rob, and Gallon in the slot, while Clemons gives us 8 outside receivers along with Mathews, Hemingway, Stonum, Rogers, Roundtree, Gordon, and Savoy.

    Go blue!

  • Are you kidding me! We got Je'Ron! Ok. I'm not turning off my computer anymore. I keep missing too much. That does suckl about DeQuinta though. But I'm just glad that we got Robinson and Witty, especially Robinson. I cannot wait to see him and ole Tatey boy work together. I'm getting some serious chills!!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • wow this kid is just like nader furrha who just commited to michigan look at his highlight. nade might be a better thrower and runner

  • Well, nader is a walk-on, so if he couldn't even get a scholarship, he's definitly not better than Forcier, I've watched Furrha's highlights, he's got a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG way before he's even nearly ready to play college ball. Forcier is ranked as the fifth best quarterback overall in the nation, Furrha isn't even ranked. It's good that he's comin to Michigan, but I find it hard to beleive that he'll see any playing time over Forcier.

    Go Blue!

  • dont forget this kid is playing in califorina where there is a lot of good kids and he's dominating them, getting outside and outrunning them or hitting pases left and right. so its not like he's playing against fat and slow kids who cant tackle him BUT ofcourse its not nearly college competion. so don't be saying shit like "his passing precentage is only so high b/c his team only does little slant routes," bc he's a deap ball threat and can actually make trows over 10 yards consistantly.

  • even though his frame isn't good he makes up for it with his elusiveness and speed. its not like he's going to have a hard time seeing his recivers over his OL or anything. besides he'll be outside the pocket most of the time. from what i have seen from all of his videos i definelty think he's a good athlete, besides its not like we need him to be playing quarterback then go play safety on defense. besides people are always talking about michael hart was too small and look at where he's, NFL

  • withextremeprejudice i admit that u knonw some of the stuff your talking about and imnot going to say tate is going to be the next big thing (frankly i dont even think he's going to a good pro, if he makes it that far, just like the other midgets that RR is recruting) i just believe that he's probably going to be michigan's quarterback, if Threet doesn't beat him for the job. i question your logic though saying that hs 40 times don't matter or saying that he's not athletic...

  • That's a really good anylisis of Tate Forcier. Really good. Well said Tyrone! And in regards to 40 times, they certianly aren't good as gold, but they aren't totally inaccurate either. Forcier obviously doesn't have burners speed, but he doesn't need to because he's so athletic and is a GREAT runner in the open field. Forcier is hard core scrambler, and he's got a deadly accurate arm as well. I think he's the real deal, although if he starts as a freshman, he's certianly struggle.

    Go Blue!

  • henne was no runner at all dont compare him to forcier at all henne is a pocket passer he dont focus on running and i doubt he runs a 4.6 forty if he does than where was it at???

  • That's the point. Henne obviously does not have good speed, yet he was reported as running a 4.6 forty coming out of HS (look it up -- it's on both Scout and Rivals, just as Forcier's times are). The point is that 40 times for HS kids are inaccurate typically. So just ignore them. They really mean very little anyway.

  • i hope he doesnt play like his two older brothers. his older brother played for michigan was was like 4th string and he transfered to standford and still aint playin and his other brother was bad for UCLA but michigan has a different offense than those teams so he might do good better than threet and sheridan definitely

  • Well, no. Jason Forcier was eventually second string right behind Henne, so no, it's not like the eldest Forcier was bad. Not at all. In fact, the few times I'd seen him play, he was pretty decent.

But he is still on the bench at Stanford, so that has to at least mean something.

  • Ya I'm done arguing, I just know we have a legit quarterback, and I quite frankly could careless what any haters or fans from other teams say about Forcier, they're just jealous!

    Go Blue!

  • with extreme prejudice stop arguing like you know everything and like you have the inside info you sound sound rly dumb

  • "The problem with highlight reels is they only show the player's best plays. I've seen full tape of several of Forcier's games. When he's on, he looks incredible, but when he's off -- yuck. He tries to force shovel passes that get picked off, he'll fumble a snap, pick it up, and run around about 50 yards laterally before ultimately losing 5."

Yeah and that's alot of people...I understand anything and everything you are saying, but I disagree with you because you could scrutinize anybody

  • Shows that he is not only athletic but a good decision maker as well. Tate Forcier knows when to hold on to the ball and when to let it go. He is going to be used the same way in a spread option scheme. He will have to make plays with his arm and feet, and know when to do each. As far as his competitions goes. San Diego CA has pretty stiff competition, as does CA in general. So, really if you are going to knock Forcier...find something a little more solid than size. Troy Smith was 6' 200lb geez

  • San Diego has multiple high school divisions. The division that Scripps Ranch plays in (division 2) a pretty small division, and thus, has a much smaller talent pool. There are several schools in that division that are decent (such as Oceanside; I think they even went pretty deep in the state playoffs), but for the most part, eh.

It's apparent from when Scripps Ranch played strong teams how ineffective their offense was, unfortunately.

  • hey just a quick few comments...

first off - regardless of what people say about his height, truth be told, a QB's height in college football (especially in a system like the spread offense) really won't hurt him that much

second - with extreme prejudice, you're retarded... when a guy can run around like that in HS and be successful, why wouldn't he??? he knows he can do it there, so he does it. come time to play college, you won't see him doing that stuff i guarentee it

    forcier = solid

  • take it from a vehement anti-dickrod fan to a vehemnt pro-dickrod fan: you should not argue with that guy. He argues for the sake of arguing. he will disagree with everything you say and make the most ambiguous statements ever just to piss you off. Look at his fucking channell: he says "open your mouth-here;s your money." The guy is a fuckin cunt from the depths of hell. He has no clue what he's talking about. He's stupid enough to think 1997 nebraska was better then 1997 Michigan

  • please let this be out ticket to a national title!

  • It will be son, it will be.

    Go Blue!

  • i dont understand why everyone here is saying pryor is so great, he played ok at best, he can run like the wind but his passing is almost as dreadfull as watching the detroit lions

  • Ya, I agree, but we are saying that because it's not everyday you see a true freshman take the spot of a 5th year senoir quarterback's spot for the starting job at a national powerhouse in ohio state.

    Go Blue!

  • I totally agree 100% w/you victor69, although Pryor is very athletic on his feet, he has ZERO passing game. His ball looks identical to a helium filled balloon. He has no control over it; it wobbles all over the place like a wounded duck. Maybe in time, he'll get it straightened out, but he surely needs some help with it.

Yes...about as painful as watching the Detroit Lions!!

  • Meh. The dude was the No.1 recruit in the antion, so lots of hype is to be expected. Unlike fucknig Jimmy Clausen, who is more erratic then Jon Kitna on a bad day, I think Pryor did reasonably well in his freshmen campaign. As ugly as his passes are, he still managed to complete 65% of his passes average 13 yards per completion, and have a 3-1 TD-int ratio. Plus he ran for 600 yards and 7 TD on 4.5 YPC. I think he's really good, but he's no Troy Smith

    Go Blue!

  • Also, a guy this size like this who gets happy feet so quickly is going to get injured very quickly at any D-1 program, even in an awful conference like the Big Ten.

There's a reason that this guy was the fourth choice for QB behind Pryor last year and Newsome and Beaver this year.

  • Ya thats exactly why of the quarterbacks that you mentioned outside of pryor, the recruiting scouts all say he's the most ready to play college ball. Doug Flutie was 5-10, he won the heisman. Drew Bress is 6-0, he's doin pretty god I'd say. Dude, your a fucking dumbass! Did you even watch the highlights????? Do you know what you are saying before it comes out your mouth?????? I don't think you do!

    Go Blue!

  • The problem with highlight reels is they only show the player's best plays. I've seen full tape of several of Forcier's games. When he's on, he looks incredible, but when he's off -- yuck. He tries to force shovel passes that get picked off, he'll fumble a snap, pick it up, and run around about 50 yards laterally before ultimately losing 5.

He's a gamer, but most of those runs are going to be negated at the college level where defensive players' speed will be superior.

  • I think you are forgetting something

    TATE IS IN HIGH SCHOOL

He still needs to add size...HE WILL

He still needs to add speed...HE WILL

He need to adjust to the competition...HE WILL

MY point being he has put up 389 yards per game all-purpose as a senior in a wide open spread offense against CA competition. He isn't overrated nor heavily underrated. He is a very good prospect for a dual-threat QB, a guy who moves the chains.

BTW he wasn't our fourth choice either

  • I'm not sure that Tate has the frame to accommodate the the appropriate bulk for a true dual-threat QB. As far as speed, well, players who add bulk, particularly QBs, tend not to just get faster (you know the old saying -- "you can't teach speed").

We may disagree, but let's be honest about one thing. RR's #1 choice for QB was Pryor last year, and both Newsome and Beaver were offered before Forcier was offered. He is obviously not RR's ideal candidate for QB, and was a fourth choice.

  • Overall, Forcier will have his ups and downs this year, but it'll die down once he gets used to the college life and he'll be a great quarterback.

    Go Blue!

  • Proyr is proven though, so really, Forcier can have this hype, but I feel he needs to show me something in the spring game. I know I have said great things about Forcier, but I still feel too that he has so much potential and still has a lot to improve on. And he will be a true freshman, and he has a lot of confidence, as long as he has his confidence right now, that's the very first step of him improving to what he compares himself to, Colt McCoy.

    Go Blue!

  • We have a walk-on named Nader Furrha enrolling early, he's a dual-threat quarterback, he's got some highlights, he's not bad, I don't expect him to make any noise though any time soon for the Wolverines.

    Go Blue!

  • Redshirted or not, even in the recruiting process, I've never heard shit about ANY of those quarterbacks you mentioned, they're obviously not studs like pryor is. Iowa had stanzi take over the qb position, minnesota, that moses alipate, I watched him, not impressed, msu has shit qb's always, I also watched scheelhasse, not impressed, he threw 4 interception when I watched him, that's basically another juice williams for the illini. Only pryor impresses me, and Forcier.

    Go Blue!

  • you cant mention forcier and Pryor in the same sentence. Terrelle is on another level of QBs. Ive seen Tate here in San Diego since his sophomore year he has tremendous athleticism and a good arm but he benefitted from playing in a weak league once the playoffs came around and better teams he caved in to the pressure. Im anxious to see whether he can handle playing in the big house. Because he had trouble playing at O-side High school just wait till he gets to the big house or the horse shoe

  • And I agree with you, but I was just tryin to prove a point to the other guy who was talkin about how all of these quarterbacks on minnestoa, msu, and all the other teams in the Big10 have this stud quarterback. He kept naming these guys that I had seen in all-star games and sucked, and ones that I had never even heard of. Pryor is already proven. You can also say the same about pryor though in his high-school, he played in a weak state, PA is not a football state like a Texas, Florida, or a Cal

  • I see where youre coming from man. Really If I could sum it up in a sentence or two it would be this. Tate Forcier will not have the same impact as a freshman as Terrelle Pryor did. You will have to wait a bit to see Forcier shine

  • Thats because Pryor is just a freak athlete. It'll be about a year or so before Forcier will be the quarterback I know he can be. You have to admit though, he'll be better at running the spread this year, than threet and sheriDONE will ever run it. I mean, the poor guys tried, but it's just not goin to happen with pro-style quarterbacks.

    Go Blue!

  • Yeah any 6'6 230 Freshman that can run a 4.4 is gonna have some success..

I agree that spread is perfect for Forcier.

  • LOL ya.

  • Count out Feagin cause he wasn't a good passer to begin with, he could have shown he coulda started, but his passing was suspect and didn't get a chance, hence why he never passed when he got in their. Robinson, he'll have to show he can pass, we know threet can't, sheriDONE can't, and hopefully Forcier will live up to his hype aboput his 77% completion pertcentage. As for the qb's on other teams, the only good one you said was pryor, I didn't see shit from anybody else!

    Go Blue!

  • Denard Robinson might be lightening quick, but he won't be able to beat out Forcier (or Threet) for the starting job. Why? Cause he won't arrive till August, and as Justin Feagin will tell you, you're fucked if you arrive in August. Our starting QB in 2009 will either be Forcier or Threet depending on how performs better in spring and preseason practice

    Go Blue!

  • what he said, without his undying hatred of RR in the Justin Feagin statement :D

  • well your fucked then

  • Well, lord knows I'm not in the "Michigan will win the NC in 2010" boat, but how exactly is Michigan fucked because of Tate Forcier? If you had said Michiganw as fucked cause of dickrod, I wouldn't argue with you, but how are we fucked cause of Forcier? The guy has razor sharp acuracy, is a great athlete in the open field, and is a 4 star prospect. If Michigan sucks again next seaosn, its highly unlikely that Forcier will be the culprit.

  • Forcier's completion percentage is totally inflated because most of his passes are short screen passes.

This guy is way too small to be playing QB at any D1 program, and his athleticism is mediocre for someone his size. You're going to be disappointed when you see this guy trying to force throws like Jeff Garcia on a bad day. His high school competition was questionable at best and his recruitment is all hype, which will happen when Marv Marinovich is your personal QB trainer.

  • I'm not going to debate with someone who argues for the sake of arguing and is trying to be a pathetic internet badass.

    So there. You win

    fuck you

    Go Blue!

    And BTW:

    1997 Michigan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>1997 Nebraska

  • He is 6'1" and about 195 lbs....that's bigger than Colt McCoy was in high school (look it up). He also ran a 4.55 in his 40 yard dash which is excellent for a high school QB. Not many hit sub 4.5, and most of them aren't very good passers that are that fast. Also, he averages about 12 yards an ATTEMPT...not even per completion, so don't tell me he throws mostly screens. The fact that he is producing most of the yards in his offense...and has had great averages rushing and throwing...

  • I could look it up, but I would expect that you know as well as I do that not only are 40 times inflated/inaccurate coming out of high school, but height and weight is often inflated as well. Yes, Tate is listed at 6'1", but does anyone actually think he even breaks 6' based on the pictures they've seen of him? I don't.

He may well run around a 4.6, but I don't believe he has the athleticism to translate his strengths from high school to the college game.

  • My point being that Colt McCoy has gotten taller...and heavier and faster since High School. Tate plays in CA, so his competition MIGHT not be the best relatively speaking, but it's still CA.

"I don't believe he has the athleticism to translate his strengths from high school to the college game." Why? Because he is white? He is a dual threat QB period...and even 4.6 is good for a QB. Ultimately what your saying is that Tate needs to develop, as do most QBs out of high school

  • Please, let's not try to make this about race. I was not trying to insinuate that because he is white, he's not athletic. I base my opinion on the tape I've watched. He's not significantly faster than most of the defensive players on the field at any given time (Henne also reportedly ran a 4.6 coming out of HS), and he doesn't have the lateral quickness that I'd like to see from a QB running a spread option offense.

  • Tate also ran a 4.4 shuttle...and don't even compare Henne to Forcier in terms of mobility...surely your kidding!

  • Obviously it was an extreme example, but it just goes to show how wildly inaccurate things like HS forty times and shuttle times (yes!) can be. Yes, I believe that Forcier is probably faster than Henne and is better on his feet because he's not a pocket passer. No, I don't believe that his athleticism is all that great.

  • Whose athleticism is ...Beaver? Newsome is a slower sprinter than both Beaver and Forcier. So I take Tate over both those guys. Over Pryor? No way...but Tate is the real deal. If Denard Robinson comes and outplays him...fine! But Tate is a good dual-threat QB end of story.

  • Agreed, and chase daniel, 6-0, todd reesing, 5-11, pat white, 6-1, and I can go on and on dude. Forcier will be fine, he can gain weight over the spring and sumeer, it ain't that hard! And fourth choice??? We have recruited him even when we got beaver and newsome! In fact, thats why newsome left! He didn't like the faact that RR was still recruiting Forcier! WithExtremePredjudice, lease man, you can claim you watched Forcier all you want, but obviously he's really good.

    Go Blue!

  • That's not why Newsome left. Anyone who reads Rivals and so forth knows that Newsome committed immediately to Michigan only because he felt he had to, and decommitted because he was still considering VTech, Penn State, and others. Beaver decommitted because he felt there wasn't enough emphasis on off-field activities, academics, and so forth from the Michigan coaches and it simply wasn't close to home.

  • WithExtremeDumbness,

Move along Buckeye Troll, no one wants to listen to your delusional BS here. This area is reserved for Wolverine fans.

    Here are the facts dumb-dumb:

1.)Newsome committed and was not happy about Michigan still going after Forcier. RR wanted 2 dual QB's this year, Newsome didn't like the fact we were still going after Forcier.

2.) Beaver simply didn't want to compete against someone who is light-years ahead of him! Chances were low he'd win the starting job.

  • One, I'm not an OSU fan (not sure where that idea got started -- must be because I'm not blowing sunshine up your ass). Two, I'm not a Michigan fan, either.

While what you've said of Beaver is partially true, you obviously don't subscribe to either of the major recruiting services, since your information on Newsome is just plain wrong. Plus, the reasoning doesn't make sense. RR wanted 2 QBs -- okay, so why would Newsome decommit because of Forcier, who was not committed to UM at the time?

  • If you're neither UM or OSWho fan, then get the fuck on down the road slappy, what the hell are you doing here other than to talk shit about Michigan's recruiting?

Actually I have seen the rival interview of why Newsome decommitted & that's the"overall"jist of things.Maybe RR told him"he'd be the man"but they still were after Tate LONG before Newsome was in the picture, get your story straight dummy. Forcier didn't committ until AFTER Newsome was gone!Tates been on the UM radar for a long time.

  • Also, a stat like yards per attempt is rather worthless. Sure, he might be hucking the ball deep, but is it getting there quickly? Does his accuracy downfield hold up? Does it look like a wounded duck? I don't know. I don't see that much in his highlights, and from the game tape I've seen, I've only seen a couple deep balls.

The good news is that regardless, he obviously can throw a screen pass with better accuracy than Threet, which is pretty important in UM's offense.

  • ohio state sucks...they're garbage

  • As a spread option QB is extremely sought after and highly rated. My point being if anyone has the advantage of all those guys you named it would be Tate Forcier because of his stats where he plays and the amount of major offers he holds. He is probably the third best QB for the spread option behind Pryor and possibly Shephard the last two years. Plus his highlights are sweet...

  • 77% completion percentage, sums up Tate pretty damn good!!!!!!!!!! He runs a 4.5 on top of that! The fact he is enrolling early will only give him so much more of an advantage for the starting spot this season too! He isn't rated as the most accurate quarterback for the class of 2009 for no reason! I don't understand how newsome is ahead of Tate in the qb rankings, I watched newsome in that all-star game, all he did was run, when he threw, it wasn't that great, whatever, it don't matter.

  • And I would like to mention Tate is completing 77% of his passes, and is rated as the most accurate quarterback in this class, plus he runs a 4.5. Don't diss him, he's got better stats and plays better competition than pryor did, pryor is good, but just don't dis the #1 rated passer coming into football from freshman wise.

    Go Blue!

  • First off, newsome can only run, msu always is a fraud, minnesota never beats us, and illinois is just illinois, they'll be bad again, and we'll be back on top. You wait and see, I guarantee once RR gets his guys, we'll be back and the Big10 will just be the Big2 again with us and osu!

    Go Blue!

  • this kid is decent but I don't see michigan being great with him @ QB.

    OSU has Pryor

Illinois got the kid Scheelhaase from kansas

Gophers got a stud last year from indiana

    Iowa got Wienke

    Penn State got Newsome

MSU has Cousins who should have been starting for them this year and they are recruiting lightsout in general.

I just don't see Michigan being able to compete, You guys better get that kid from florida or else your screwed.

  • Pryor is great

but Scheelhause and Weinke and Newsome barely add up together to the D1 offers Forcier holds. Get that shit outta here man...Tate is gonna be very good. Not TP and not gonna win the Big Ten right away or anything, but he is a solid dual-threat so again get that B.S. outta here...

  • IMO Wienke is the most talented of all the young Big 10 QBs(including Pryor). Oh and offers don't mean shyt, Troy Smith barely had any big offers, how did he turnout? I can up with 1000000 other examples of why offerwes don't mean anything.

I like your optimism but you better get the kid from florida he is a stud and much better then forcier

  • IMO? Well your opinion and 90 cents will get me a cup of coffee at McDonald's...so your opinion "don't mean shit." What is the criteria other than your expert opinion about what makes a player good? It seems like it would take a lot of nerve to compare any of those guys to Pryor yet since he's the only one who is proven at the NCAA level. Forcier is rated higher than virtually everybody except Newsome who is basically neck and neck with Tate. He has more offers which does matter...

  • FBS coaches like Urban Meyer and Les Miles don't recruit slouches. The fact that other guys didn't have offers doesn't make them bad....I never freakin' said that dude. I NEVER said only having 12 offers means you won't be good in NCAA ball. My point is you are obviously judging him on some subjective basis. Forcier has great stats with a difficult schedule.

  • Masturbatalot00,

get on down the road buckeye-troll!

None of us MICHIGAN fans want to hear your delusional BS!

    ~GO BLUE!!

  • Your an idiot Im not even an ohio state fan. I do live in Ohio though and see alot of HS football.

  • Let me guess then, you must be a MSU fan? Either way, it's clear you dislike UM, so move on, this area is for Wolverines!

P.S. "Your an idiot"? When attempting to call others idiots, try using correct grammar, that way you don't disclose who the real idiot is.

  • So... basically, you're saying, that Michigan is screwed if we don't get "that kid from Florida"

Well, TP is gonna be a great college QB no matter what anyone says,

Scheelhasse is rated lower than Forcier but obviously since according to you "offers don't mean shyt" He's gonna be better than Forcier, Sure...

The Gophers did get a stud last year, too bad he was ineligible for a good part of this season .

and if Weinke was the most talented of all the young QB's, HE wouldve been in contention

  • Wienke red shirted,

I don' know the situation with the QB the Gophers got last yea, I thought he was redshirting

  • So what do you all think of our new defensive coordinator? I personally like him. He got experience in the NFL with the chiefs and broncos, and he was the d-coordinator at Texas in 2004, they were in the top 25 in every defensive category that year! He's a great d-coordinator, obviously not head coach though, lol. So glad shafer is gone.

    Go Blue!

  • i think it was a good call.

    Head Coaching is different from

D-Coordinator. He has all the tool

work it out in A2. Im sure he'll

be a great fit. sooo damn glad shafer

is gone too fuck haha. cant wait till

    spring starts.

  • I agree, head coaching is obviously different from d-coordinator, and he's actually been to other places like the NY jets, broncos, chiefs, UCLA, Texas, NC State, and some small school thats not in division 1. He's a great guy according to everybody.

    Go Blue!

  • he runs a 4-3 am i right?

  • Ya Denard runs a 4.38, and Tate Forcier runs a 4.5.

    Go Blue!

  • yeah, G. Robinson runs a 4-3 defense

  • He looks like a good player. I just hope he can look this good against OSU.

  • kid looks pretty good, but can he move around as much facing big ten defenses?

  • Oh ya man! The Big10 is slow as fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michigan is like the only team that ever can compete out of conference, especially against the SEC! Forcier will be fine, and if he doesn't I'm sure Denard Robinson would make a fine backup, unless he's the starter. Michigan has a bright future.

    Go Blue!

  • Thank God Forcier is enrolled. Now he can't pull a shavodrick beaver on us. William Campbell has enrolled as well.

    Go Blue!
