  • Is this tape sold in stores or only online orders?

  • @KidLilly - AirFlex is basically sold online only.

  • Two weeks is a safe hold and then I begin to listen to your skin whether your skin begins to itch or feel irrataed which is very important because skin irratated skin must heal first before applying wig again

  • How long does it last?

  • can i swim and sweat with this method? i am going to the islands next week and i want to waer my new lace front but i want to swim and scuba. and of course play. what do you suggest

  • Nice but Personally, I don't use the tape because one time, me and my friend were at a Club and the tape was peeling up and she was having a lace wig malfunction and that's something I definitely don't won't to happen.. I use the typical dark bonding glue and blend in my hairline with a Black Marker because my lace wig is Black and it holds perfectly with any malfunctions :)

  • @AmberSumer - Usually when the lace peals away from the tape is when the adhesive is place down to low on the forehead. The tape should be no lower than the last line on your forehead when you look surprised. Hopefully I was helpful.

  • Yes the adhesive is soft...

  • I have a question, is the bit you glue on your head soft?

  • You have the cutest voice ever =)

  • What a great instructional video. I went to your store to order your Air Flex adhesive starter kit. It shipped in 24 hours and I received it a day later. I followed your video and now I have a great wig on my head!!!

    Thanks!

  • Thank you for your tutorial. This is very helpful. I will use this when I get my lace front wig in the mail. I can't wait to get my wig!

  • Very good Tut!!

  • ohh kkk.. da was great..a was finkin of getin weaves ma hairs gon realyy thin than it used to be :( but is dis beta?? n if someone puls it will it fall off loooll... whr can u get one frm?? reply bk pwsss... faanku :)

  • Is it a special tape or just any double sided? and is it a specific wig?

  • AirFlex tape is the tape I'm using and a full lace wig with adjustable straps along back hairline.

  • Does this bring your hair out around the edges? bc mine are already thin

  • I would use a wig cap to help preserve your edges. However, if you choose not to use a wig cap, when you remove your unit, take your time and be generous when using the adhesive remover and lace release.

  • will the tape damage your hair if it touches it?

  • If you remove your unit incorrectly, it will pull your hair out. I use a wig cap to help protect my front hairline. I place half of the tape on the wig cap and the other half will fall on your skin. This wil preserve your front hairline when removing your unit.

  • Yes it wsa helpful thank you. I am trying to use tape tonight for the first time. The Ultra Hold I have found to be a bit messy and turns white. Is there anything to do about the shine of the tape?

  • The only use is powder makeup. I press it along the front hairline. Sometimes, if the hairline of the wig is on the thin side, you will see the tape more. This is my reason I like a fuller front hairline. It helps hind the shine of the tape. If this so, consider having some hair added to the front hairline.

  • Where do you get the wig and glue kit from? I live in NYC

  • SimplyJess06 - just following up to see if my hints were helpful?

  • how much lace are u suppose to cut exactly some ppl say leave some...and otheres say cut as much as you can

  • After you have tried on the unit and it fits properly, remove all the lace back to hairline of the wig without cutting into the hairline

  • hmmm... they were but im just wondering, do we put tape on the lace wig too or just our skin?

  • You can put tape on the wig and the skin for a more secure hold. Hint: Place the tape on your skin alittle bit back from where you would normally put it. After you taped the wig and your skin and now your ready to apply the wig, place the wig just alittle bit pass the tape on your skin so the tape will not end up being too bulky. Try not to double tape along the widow peak area, the tape might look too un natural.

  • I have tried a mumerous amount of time to apply my lace wig with Safe Grip but within minutes it is coming up. It does not bond to my skin AT ALL. I clean my skin with alcohol and the skin protector and layer the glue 2 to 3 times. What am I doing wrong? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the supertape has a duller finish...

  • With a full lace wig, do you apply adhesive around the ears? I see where you said at the end of your video to stop.

  • No, I don't apply tape directly behind the ear because the skin is more delicate there. I start applying tape at the small lump which is not too far from the ear.

  • Tatee,

Do ut a liquid adhesive in the delicate spot?

I thought that with a full lace it has to be bonded all the way around. If you leave gribs then that would cause lifting around the ear, no?

  • This is true. I use a wig cap now because when placing the adhesive behind the ears, the skin is more delicate there. I place the tape on top of the wig cap behind the ears and gradually move the tape where it is half on wig cap and half on my skin along the entire back hair line.

  • For Fair Skin tone, I would use a nude color wig cap. For Medium to dark skin tone, I would use the brown wig cap

  • So you don't like to use SuperTape? I hear lot of people state that it turns white and i was told that comes from left over adhesive that was not removed. Is that true?

  • I like the Supertape but the AirFlex works better for me. Both tapes will be clear and have a slight shine to it but I haven't experienced it turning white. I try not to touch adhesive with my fingers. I use eye brow pluckers to help with removing the top strip of the tape adhesive.

  • I like the tape method versus the glue method simply because the clean up is easier, However, I have noticed that the tape appears white just hours after installation. It looks pretty much like what it is. Does anyone know of a specific brand of tape that doesn't turn white? Or, any ways of disguising the white tape line?

  • What type of tape did you use?
