If you drink a lot of alcohol you will gain so much weight in a short period of time. If you cut down on your alcohol consumption, you will lose so much weight.
Hi Tory, I enjoyed your story. I've lost 100 lbs too. I had lap band surgery. It wasn't an easy decision. It took me two years to decide to do it. I do the three meals and 2 snacks too. But since my stomach is so small,I feel full MUCH sooner. I eat healthy, good food now and I "plan" my small cheats as I was taught. Unfortunately I DO love to cook. Fortunately, I can still cook for people who enjoy it. BTW, I like listening to you ex-scientology stories. Makes me feel there's hope for them.
Well done Tory. I have just started loosing the 50 lbs I put on over the last 8 years. In fact, I had my first session back at the gym this morning and am going to start cycling again soon. I am changing my diet too of course. I especially must remember to drink plenty of water. Anyway, you look great x
Great stuff Tory! My advice is too eat as much raw (not meat of course) and natural as you can. I'm not saying its best to go totally raw and vegan but doing as much of it as you reasonably can definitely helps. Also, I HATE the word DIET. Diets never work. It has to a permanent lifestyle change. Something you can live with and enjoy.
You know, I gained 25 pounds after I stopped smoking cigarettes (I smoked since the age of nine and I am 57 years old today). I appreciate your advice about this. You always have excellent self-help videos also.
When I stopped drinking thirty years ago, I started to crave sugar, and then I discovered that I am not the only heavy drinker who ended up craving sugar after quitting. Thanks for your communications to us.I think that you helped more people than you could count.
@nicholasn1984 Hang in there! Remember this: No matter how 'Down" you may feel, there are TONS of peeps way lower....so try to find the light in each day. If that doesn't work..........got help the homeless. Don't just stew. :)
My sister is getting married later this year and has been on Weight Watchers for about 6 months now and she's looking great. Not that she didn't in the first place, I'm sure it is all in the head. I considered dieting once, the food I could go without, but giving up the booze is a step too far!

If anything Scientology probably causes weight gain. Sleep deprivation can cause weight gain.

@Christopher711 Yeah..that would be true for the Sea Org, (Plus being worked to death and super crummy food for most)---not true for public. :)
