  • You must have edited out the near collision as there clearly isn't one. One thing I did notice however, every single carriage that passed you had to cross the traffic lane because you were blocking their path. They all did it peacefully without any protesting at all. Very professional on the part of the drivers. Nice looking healthy horses too! Good to see :)

  • Ummm....where's the abuse. I know about horses and they all looked beautiful and healthly. Find something better to do. Peace.

  • " foaming at the mouth horse " do you do any research on horses before you speak? you want a horse foaming with a bit if they have a dry mouth it would make it uncomfortable for them. horses "mouth" the bit, there are bits made to even cause horses to mouth a bit and slobber. hence key bits, sweet iron, copper and so on don't take my word for it research it.

  • @mlposten

Yeah yeah. All you horse people come up with scientific reasons why what I saw is not a bad thing. T

This horse was bucking and was raced back to the line so the guy driving it could make more money. It looks like he was a weekend replacement and from the glow in his eyes as he immediately counted his money made me feel he was abusing this horse..

You had to be there to see just what went on, this vid you are watching from far away doesn't really show the abuse. It is punishing

  • @RadioReporter01 interesting all you horse people ... how many ? if people with alot more horse experience than you are saying things are not bad. wonders how are you an expert? and as for bucking i saw the video you said it was bucking do you know what a buck is? never saw one in any of the videos you shown

  • @mlposten

It seems like the only ones who defend this horrid treatment of horses are the people using them as machines to make money and their dopey friends.

The bucking is there, you can't see it very well because it is a cheap camera. I wouldn't have bothered if I didn't think the horse wasn't in distress.

I'm not an animal rights activist and don't want to see the carriages go as they have been here long before me. But the time has come for them to go. The owners refuse to compromise

  • @RadioReporter01 btw that is not anything scientic ir is common knowlege in the horse world

  • @mlposten

Except this isn't the horse world, it's NYC and you don't have to be part of that world to see a living being is in distress.

  • @RadioReporter01 believe what you want but you make yourself look ignorant. you can say the same things over and over. and name calliing but facts are facts. and don't assume someone commenting has not seen it first hand or not been to NYC or even lived there. BTW if NYC is so horrible for you why do you stay?

  • @RadioReporter01 the horse world means anything with horses. guess you didn't know that. i didn't even have to look to see the horse did not buck you didn't even hear a break in cadence.

  • @mlposten

"the horse world means anything with horses. guess you didn't know that."

Wow! Stop Lies has friends even dumber than he is. You are confusing my many videos. I would put that bottle down. It doesn't mix with the Internet.

    Zing! Another drunk keyboarder zapped!

  • Lol. That horse was playing with it's bit. The horse I rode did that all the time. If you want to go see horse abuse go look up rodeos or something. These horses look clean and well fed.

  • I think you spelled it wrong. It's Raven the dumb spy.

Playing with the bit and trying to get it out of your mouth is 2 different things

  • First of all I live nowhere near New York. Second if a horse wouldn't take a bit there is no way you would be able to get the horse to walk in the first place. Horses who don't take bits take hackamores. I know, I've ridden abused horses of many kinds. Thirdly those horses are draft horses. Lastly, the way I see it you're more of a stalker then any of the people who comment on your videos.

  • So you are confirming that it's "Raven the dumb spy?"

  • No, I was just correcting something you said because obviously you have no knowledge of horses. My man has more knowledge of horses than you and he's only ridden a horse, not a pony, once in his lifetime. Does this mean that you accept your a stalker by the way? By the looks of it you are one.

  • Listen Raven the dumb spy, if I'm a stalker why can't I get rid of you?

  • I was talking about you stalking the carriage horses. Obviously the internet's not ment to stalking, only fail-stalking, and this has come comepletely off the subject it was on before. Ride a horse the nearest chance you get, doesn't matter what kind could be lessons or trail riding. I bet you that when you're done you're going to realize the difference between playing with the bit and fighting the bit.

  • Raven: Thank YOU for seeing this idiot in the same light I see him in. He's doing nothing more than trying to start an argument over nothing. These horses were clean, healthy, & I'd really like to know where that supposed "accident" occurred b/c I never saw it & I watched the thing about 4x; I muted it when Idiot Reporter was talking. I love the sounds of horse hooves on roads, esp cobblestone. At least they don't add to the pollution like cars! Idiot Reporter needs a REAL job.

  • @PaisleyPlace

25 posts on 2 pages and I have nothing to do?

    Who unleashed this one?

  • RR: You're full of shit. I've been around horses my entire life & all horses fool with their bits on occasion. I wouldn't ride a horse without a bit just as I wouldn't work any animal without proper attire for the situation. A bit has been a part of a working horse's tack for centuries. You're just a PETA asshole whose making up lies about horses that are clearly clean, well-cared for, and doing a job that allows them to be social & with their handlers. Go find a REAL cause. Stop child abuse!

  • Raven: The horses at rodeos in the barrel races are well-cared for too. I've been in barrel racing. It teaches the horse tremendous dexterity & trust between handler/horse. The only thing I don't care for is the rodeo riding where they attempt to ride horses that aren't saddle-broke. That, to me, is cruel b/c it scares the horse. It takes time & even LONGER amounts of time to saddle break a horse esp if it's been in a rodeo where it's rode b4 it's saddle-broken. Latter are often skittish 4 life.

  • I was in New Orleans after Katrina and rode with one of the drivers... he was very nice and his horses looked great.

Was another driver there that day that I didn't care for, maybe he was just having a bad day. My friends that live there told me they had lot of carriages out before Katrina. I only saw 2 but that was not long after the hurricane.

This Radio reporter guy is a tool:)

  • @gypsyscometotown

I think when people read what you wrote, I won't be the tool they think of....

  • They have some beautiful horses ! Wish I was there to see them in person.

  • Come look for yourself, up close and personal, and tell me what you see

  • gypsy: They are truly beautiful in person. Not knocking NYC horses but if you want to see some truly beautiful horses, go to New Orleans. I'm not 100% sure if they have the liveries back up & running yet. I lost a lot of friends during Katrina & many are still displaced but there are some beautiful carriage horses there, esp during reenactments & on the plantations. I've actually run a 4-horse team; always wanted to run a 6-horse but never had the chance. I mucked stalls, cleaned, & exercised

  • if the horse wanted the bit out of his mouth he would be fighting harder and his head would be up trying to avoid the bit. and i am 21 and have been riding since i was 10. learn a thing or two about horses before you open your mouth. what d o you know about horses nothing ride for 11 years before you talk about equine behavior. and again GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

  • You are far away trying to tell me that what I see with my own eyes is false.

You are just looking for a fight.

He was fighting the bit and his head was swinging wildly around

But you can see what was happening from 400 miles away.

    Clueless little girl

  • RR: You're blind! Get some bifocals and upgrade your prescription while you're at it. These horses are not mistreated. They are well taken care of & are healthy. None of the horses were fighting their handler. That's just a figment of your imagination. Perhaps you need a neuro consult for dementia before you get those new glasses...

  • @PaisleyPlace

    Blah Blah Blah. More insults.

Guess you spent Saturday night with the couch and Peperridge Farm

  • HD: I've rode & handled horses throughout my life. I won't give my age but I'll just say I've been riding about 3x as long as you have. I even worked saddle-breaking horses. It takes time, patience, & care but it's not sadistic although the idiot who made this video would probably think it is. He just doesn't know the 1st thing about horses. He certainly does need to 'get a life'. Perhaps he can start videoing domestic abuse cases on humans. That would be a more worthy use of his time.

  • @PaisleyPlace

You just have to wonder when a looney like this says she's "handled the horses" are we going to see that in the X rated section?

  • @Idiotreporter: That's why you don't know a damned thing about horses. Their trainers are known as handlers. It means we handle everything from their care to their training. You are an even bigger moron than I thought you were. You are truly showing your ignorance now that you have even more people who know about raising horses, training horses, and handling horses. Idiots... You are at the top of the list. BTW, I type @ about 120wpm so it doesn't take long for me to type what an idiot you are.

  • @PaisleyPlace who is far away is trying to tell me some she thinks is true but I see with my own eyes isn't.

She's just another YT crazy, using the place as her therapy. They used to lock them up which was cruel, so try to be tolerant when they start to rant and rave

  • Hes foaming because he/she has a copper bit which they chew on because it is sweet. If you knew anything about horse you would know that.

  • Oh bullshit. That horse was in distress, don't give me that. He bucked wildly when the inexperienced driver, sent out on a holiday weekend didn't know how to handle it.

And I can tell the difference between a horse enjoying a bit and one trying to get it out of it's mouth.

Who are you kidding? You're not even 21 and in another state and you mouth off like the criminals abusing the horses.

Come here and see for yourself. Until then keep the bullshit in Georgia please.

  • Radio-BS: I'm NOT 21; Haven't seen 21 in many many years & I can tell you from personal experience that none of those horses were "fighting" their handlers. You are the one full of bull-shit. Old man, go find a real hobby because this one... let's just say you don't have the education to comment intelligently on it. It's a shame your retirement or lack of wanting to work leaves you with nothing better to do than harass horses & their handlers providing a service that doesn't pollute the air.

  • @PaisleyPlace CLOWN ALERT!!!!

  • @Radioreporter01:IdiotRepugnant: MORON ALERT!!!!

  • @PaisleyPlace

As if to prove my point.....

  • @RadioReporter00: Your point being that you're an idiot who has nothing better to do with his time than to put down decent cops who go out every day/night risking their lives & the lives of their families to stop criminals like you... Yeah, I got your point. You're a nobody who only gets off by pissing off people online so go piss on yourself. I'm tired of your blather.....

  • @PaisleyPlace

Oh shut up already crybaby. You have no clue, just what you see on the TV

  • Horses need 15 to 20 gallons of water a day, depending on exertion and other factors. Too bad the worst time of the year is almost upon us. The horses suffer.

  • They get lots of exertion and not much water so they won't pee all over.

Anybody who watches closely will see these carriage horse people are lying about such good care they take of their horses.

  • The road is closed to motor vehicles? That's nice, much safer for the horses who all look very relaxed and happy, plodding slowly along at a leisurely pace. FYI horses do not foam at the mouth when they need water, also sweating is not a sign that one must stop, as any athlete will tell you . Try telling Frankie Dettori that he has to stop mid race 'cos his horse is sweating ! Or try telling Daley Thompson or Sebastian Coe they shoulda stopped and not won those gold medals on account of sweat !

  • Horses don't foam at the mouth when they are thirsty; didn't you know that ? Aren't you a self styled expert and you don't know that? Horses salivate because they are chewing and playing with the bit, rather like someone chewing gum; it makes the mouth water and as a bonus 'greases' up the bit so it doesn't rub, so many riders/drivers choose bits that taste nice and feel good to chew and play with to encourage the horse to 'foam'. They also foam after snacking.

  • Looked like it was trying to get it out of it's mouth...

  • And since it's closed people don't expect to have to navigate horses on both sides of the road.

Did you not see the near collision with the pedicab?

  • No, I only heard some ignoramous harassing the drivers with stupid comments.

  • And I see you are a clown.

What has to happen, the horses have to catch fire before you see any problem?

These horses don't live like yours. You're just making excuses for horse abuse.

  • RR: No. YOU are the clown. I'd much rather watch you catch fire. These horses are obviously well taken care of and it shows in their coat, their demeanor, and the ease and steadiness of their pace.

There WAS NO, contrary to your blind eyes, accident that occurred on this video. You are full of shit and you are afraid to admit it because it would make you look (because you are) weak & ignorant of horse care.

  • @PaisleyPlace

    CLOWN

  • Well that's pretty stupid comparing a well taken car of athlete exerting him or herself for a couple of minutes to a horse abused and pounded over the city streets.

  • A couple of minutes ? Ask any sportsman how many HOURS training he/she does and how many buckets of sweat will pour off every day. Sweating is a natural method of cooling the body, it is not a sign of ill health or a sign of imminent collapse; perhaps you don't know this ? Have you ever done an honest days work in your life ? These horses look very well cared for to me, and of course they are fit from all the work they do.

  • Clown, give it up, you're not making any sense.

  • I make perfect sense; sportsmen get themselves fit by hard work and blood sweat and tears. These animals are barely warmed up.

  • blackerthanblackdog, every human athlete knows that he has to drink.

If you watch a marathon for example, you will see the athletes drink a lot. If they do not, they will collapse.

  • Good point but she's been banned so she can't comment.

I asked her what she thought about the abuse as she asked for real proof and when shown it she sounded like a carriage industry spokesman.

She tried to compare a ride into town from the English countryside with the daily grind and return down 9th Ave. Clearly a loon she is

I won't pull a similar trick like saying she's silent on the issue when really she's been banned. i notice the carriage horse people do that one.

  • O.K., sometimes that's the only way to act.

  • You're right.

  • Woh!

    that's alot of horse

  • Too many. I knew it was bad but not this bad. These carriage people started it and I'm going to finish it by sending them all to jail.

Don't need to be a vet to know when the horses are hurting

  • They need to send you to the loony bin because it's where you belong. These handlers are doing NOTHING wrong. Turn on your hearing aid, put on your glasses, and step out of la-la land because the only person who thinks anything is wrong here is you & you are so full of it you float! These horses are perfectly capable of handling what they are doing. They have pulled carriages & plowed fields for centuries. It's nothing new & it's not abuse! Get a grip you city-slicker.

  • @PaisleyPlace

    And you live where? Mayberry?

Aren't you getting a little big for your britches getting nasty with your older and wiser elders?

    Riiiiight.......

  • @RadioReject: No. I'm no child. Thank goodness I'm not like you and an escapee from the local mental ward. I guess the guards will be around for your thorazine drip soon enough then you'll shut up your rambling nonsense. It's a good thing they close the doors and lock you down at night. You're too pathetic to even post responses to b/c you lie & just call names. You have NO proof and yet expect people to believe you. LIAR!

  • @PaisleyPlace

You post this babble and then talk about my writing?
