You propably know this now (I mean, the vid is 1 year old..) but if you animate the texture origin in Y you get a much more realistic feel to the explo :)
Hi , I killed the glow in maya fluids. It just Incandescence only. Then I added glow in compositing Stage to make more contrast look . Hope you got it
