But my ranting is in vain. :( Only the love of Jesus can melt the heart of a modern cynical human. Jjepsuomi, and all, if you believe in Jesus, you will find that he is a perfect saviour from sin and death.
Oh.. What's bothering me the most, is that the arguments that are used (especially) against Christianity are by themselves ok, e.g. How can a good god create a plague that kills innocent children? Why would God first make man to behave in one way and then punish him for behaving that way? etc. IF these were true, would disbelief be justified. What kind of a christian believe in such a god?
@Moshugaani BUT these kind of assertions are always somehow wrong. E.g. God did not create the plague. It came only after the Fall of mankind. In the original perfect creation there was no disease of this kind. In the same way, man was created good, but because the first pair, Adam and Eve chose by their free will to rebel against God, it brought sin into the world. NOTE that these are intentionally simplistic answers to simple assertions.
Voih..
Esim. Ei Jumala luonut ruttoa. Rutto on syntynyt syntiinlankeemuksen jälkeen. Alkuperäisessä täydellisessä luomakunnassa ei ollut tällaisia tauteja. Samoin ihminen luotiin hyväksi, mutta koska ensimmäiset ihmiset Adama ja Eeva vapaasta tahdosta kapinoivat Jumalaa vastaan on maailmaan tullut synti. HUOM! Nämä ovat TARKOITUKSELLA yksinkertaistavia esimerkkejä yksinkertaisiin väitteisiin.
He makes sense in that level, he hasn't gone further in the meaning of the Genesis book and creation as it is described there (in the book). There has been many interpretations of that book, and research in it's origin. It has a strong Sumerian - Babilonian influence, don't forget the Hebrew came from an Akkadian city called Ur, and the origin of their language and traditions is Babilonian. Ok, old Gnostics, Templars, Freemasons call it The Secret of the Serpent,
It's deeper than that. It is the Secret of the Serpent. Only through knowledge you can return to your divine origin. Man is made as an image of God himself and as soon as he becomes aware of himself (ego) he is expulsed from Eden. It is a paradox but it's full of meaning. Jaques Fresco doesn't know nothing about this.

@jjepsuomi all this story of God, the serpent and the tree of knowledge means man is a god himself, as it is described in Genesis, and lives in perfect harmony with God until man seeks knowledge through the tree of knowledge, invited by the serpent. When man is aware of himself (ego) he enters a new dimension, now he will try to get back to his origin, but in new ways. All this is really complex, and it can be understood in different ways, Genesis is a fascinating book in my point of view.
@jjepsuomi all this Zeitgeist thing is really interesting specially in the economic part (Addendum), world control and slavery by a few powerful but in the first movie they are completely lost in terms of history of religions. I think that's one of the big problems of Zeitgeist, it seems they are just against any statement of the Roman Church. Jacque Fresco and Peter Joseph really don't know much about history of religions, and their arguement against religion is quite childish.
@glorideum Ok =) Salutations from Finland ;) I'm just interested in understanding what real can (in my case the christian)"god" give me? Like what math, physics or chemistry gives? I do go more to the "no god"-side, but I don't say neither he exists or doesn't exist. I say I don't know if "god" exists. If he doesn't, nothing really changes in my life, if he does, then it makes me really wonder, what kind of loving "god" can do such things to humanity what is happening now in the world :(
@glorideum Because I was taught when I was a kid that "god" loves everyone, made everything there is. So why would "god" first make man to behave in one way and then punish him for behaving that way. It doesn't seem enough super-intelligent, loving and supreme behavior from "god". These are just few of the things why I don't believe in "god". I'd love to believe in "god" the same way I believe in math, but I would need actual physical proof what my senses can understand to believe in "god".
