In the original "Shadowrun" Pen & Paper RPG, you used to "Jack in" to "the matrix". This is long before the actual film "The Matrix". (Shadowrun had you jack-in to digital environments in both SNES and Genesis versions.

Or.. you could be talking about TRON :) Tron 2.0 was for PC and Xbox i believe (by Monolith)

if your computer can play half life 2 easily get smod it is just as hard on the computer as half life 2, free, and makes the game even harder to beat or you can just screw around and remember there is friendly fire in it so you can kill alyx or kliener but it will hang the game
