@tman53531 Well a contributing factor to Varian's hatred of the Horde is when his father was killed. They were betrayed by an half-orc they all thought they could trust but she murdered him in cold blood. Then a fatherless Varian had to flee his home and watch as it was over run. Think there is some justification for hatred there.

Helping restore the land for Everyone. that includes the alliance. While Varian, well hes builidng a nice army and fixin sw so he can take the horde out once and for all, thanks to Garrosh for pissing him off even more.
At 7:14, the voice is NOT Kil'jaeden if anybody was thinking it was. I kept a tab open for kil's voice audio and listened to an entire speech of him in a calm ish tone, then listened to this. This is a much deeper and heavier voice then Kil's, even though both are extremely darkening. My guess is that it was Sargeras, who commanded Varimathras to corrupt the Forsaken into bombing every1 at the wrathgate and then open a portal for him to attempt a re-enter of Azeroth and only he's known as Master

Varian was a champion while he was a gladiator slave, while in contrast Thrall...Well, Varian never lost a single fight at all, Thrall lost a couple, even if his wins did outnumber his losses.
Plus, Thrall isn't a physical fighter. The armor slows him down. Varian IS physical, however.
@KisiroKitsune Im not sure. Thrall was a strong Gladiator and they made him continue to fight on until he was tired. What I know he only lost one fight and Thrall said it himself he wouldnt have lost it if he wasnt that tired. Besides, I kind of think the comics makes Varian a little Imba.

@batcountryrabid what she doesnt know is that they gain free will when raised by her. This probably changed due to (SPOILERS) the valkyr that she hired, but then theres Godfrey (or Crowley) who blew her brains out that time. Maybe she understood she was going down the wrong path.(SPOILERS)
Maybe it's just very high discipline that makes her evil. Sylvanas is just protecting the places she owns. Forsaken were only offensive against lich king.
stupid story line of this battle shows that Varian is stupid... Still he thinks that "evil witch" and Thrall are responsible for wrathgate tho jaina told him. None of the things that he says would be a good reason for a battle on that time. They were done much before and, before the battle of undercity, alliance and horde didn't have problems with each other as they had in tbc.
I don't have the exact reason, but my guess is it was due to timeline discontinuity (though there will still be plenty of that in Outland and Northrend) and because of the difficulty caused by the changes to Orgrimmar (before this part of the quest, you go to Orgrimmar and talk to Thrall).
Well, and *spoilers* because Thrall will be off saving the world so it wouldn't make sense for him to be in Orgrimmar.
@popoh321 it was because of this battle that actually caused a big rift between the horde and alliance, the small allegiance that was being made during wrath of the lich king, so to have it would be kinda lame. besides, makes it more exciting to have a great battle that's no longer available

@popoh321 its prolly being removed because you get the quest from the warchief, and in cata thrall will be keeping the center of the earth contained and the new warchief will be hellscream.
Just a heads up for everyone: this part of the quest chain is being removed in Cataclysm, so if you want to experience it for yourself, make sure you do so before 4.0.

@lethax1 it's the Frostwolf Howler mount from Alteric valley. I have one myself, pretty neat looking in the frozenwastes of northrend..
Personally I think he'd look a lot better riding a Black war wolf, but for lore purposes he rides the Frostwolf mount.
However, I still prefer kodo's It's just sad I was extremely unlucky & never got the Great brewfest kodo. That thing looks so awesome!

Too bad Sylvanas is now just a mini-Lich King, spreading the plague and raising the dead as her minions. in Cata she becomes way too evil to like anymore...

@batcountryrabid what she doesnt know is that they gain free will when raised by her. This probably changed due to (SPOILERS) the valkyr that she hired, but then theres Godfrey (or Crowley) who blew her brains out that time. Maybe she understood she was going down the wrong path.(SPOILERS)

stupid story line of this battle shows that Varian is stupid... Still he thinks that "evil witch" and Thrall are responsible for wrathgate tho jaina told him. None of the things that he says would be a good reason for a battle on that time. They were done much before and, before the battle of undercity, alliance and horde didn't have problems with each other as they had in tbc.

I don't have the exact reason, but my guess is it was due to timeline discontinuity (though there will still be plenty of that in Outland and Northrend) and because of the difficulty caused by the changes to Orgrimmar (before this part of the quest, you go to Orgrimmar and talk to Thrall).
Well, and *spoilers* because Thrall will be off saving the world so it wouldn't make sense for him to be in Orgrimmar.

@popoh321 it was because of this battle that actually caused a big rift between the horde and alliance, the small allegiance that was being made during wrath of the lich king, so to have it would be kinda lame. besides, makes it more exciting to have a great battle that's no longer available

@popoh321 its prolly being removed because you get the quest from the warchief, and in cata thrall will be keeping the center of the earth contained and the new warchief will be hellscream.

Just a heads up for everyone: this part of the quest chain is being removed in Cataclysm, so if you want to experience it for yourself, make sure you do so before 4.0.

sigh..varamthras was my fav hordey boss..i mean..its so pwnage to have a demon boss in our side.why would he betray the dark lady..plus shes so hot...oh and. varian was lucky that jaina saved his ass..i mean if he wanted to fight the two TOP horde boss ..he should ve brought atleast 100 soldiers,then again..if saurfang would ve showed up earlier..varian would ve been cleaved to death.no more human boss if that happened.no offense to allys!.=D

I really like Thrall & Jaina. Sylvanas a bit, tho Cataclysm is changing that. Varian, ehh not so much. He seems kinda hot-headed for a leader.
