That takes years of practicing your rudiments and simply playing drums...what he's doing is not the "Rock drum style" illusion of playing a basic 2 and 4 on top of a basic double bass drum roll. He's playing paradiddles, ratamaques, and everything else he could fit into a double stroke roll...
