  • I still really love both Oasis and Blur, but must say as I've got older Blur have been far more enjoyable. I really respect the members of Blur a lot more as people - even if Oasis are funny sometimes - because they come across as pretty nice, polite people.

  • in my opinion... blur were more original and innovative and had a bigger influence on the direction that music would take, but oasis were better

  • anybody else bored as fuck of the Oasis v Blur, lets start Beady eye v Gorillaz.

  • @1:00 cutest face EVER. <3

  • Gorillaz > Blur > Oasis

Blur and Gorillaz are both awesome bands. Anything Damon Albarn creates musically is amazing.

  • @ScaryMonstahh You mean Blur > Gorillaz > The rest of music.

  • @Ajaidov No man, Gorillaz before Blur.

  • @ScaryMonstahh Blasphemy.

  • Comment removed

  • @Ajaidov Ok I'll just stop there, but still Gorillaz > Blur though I still love Blur

  • The Blur v Oasis debate has always been tiresome. I liked the both at the height of britpop and still like them both. Why can you only like one of them. Oasis' 1st two albums were brilliant but after that they went a bit downhill (be here now was terrible)

Both bands are different. Oasis are stadium anthemic rock , Blur were very like the Kinks in that their songs were very clever social commentaries and did not need big riffs or instrumentals to carry the lyrics.

  • poor blurs drummer, hes never got the attention he deserved...

in fact.. i dont even know his name

  • @hongdekong lol the drummer never seems to get attention. Im thinking it has somethin to do with the fact that hes always in the back at concerts ;) lol

  • @hongdekong His name is Dave Rowntree. Just think of the popular Sky channel or your mate down the pub and Fruit Pastilles. You won't forget him now will you?

  • @tcvicesquad well said mate! Dave's lovely....I'd vote for him any day of the week.

  • fuck warpath im watching blur

  • how beautiful is this song, and why are tears running down my face? maybe cos i am getting old and i first heard this in another century?

  • This Song Sums Up My Life Completely.

  • Its pointless the Oasis pillocks even trying to compare to Blur.

Oasis are dumb Manks who rip off Beatles to get sales.

    Blur are actually talented.

    End of argument!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @willnotallow Not Entirely True, Yes They Are Pillocks but Rock N Roll Star Live Forever Slide Away Married With Children Don't Look Back In Anger Fade Away Champagne Supernova Some Might Say Whatever & Half The World Away are all legendary everything is average or crap.
  • @TheAstronomyFloyd all off the first two albums

  • @willnotallow that is your opinion. mate. Oasis, well Noel is so talented.

  • @willnotallow Yawn, another generic comment from a cunt. That's not the end of the argument you dipshit, that's just your warped opinion which lacks any validity. Oh, and I prefer Blur a lot more to Oasis, but that doesn't change the fact that you're an idiot.

  • ..Blur vs Oasis..who cares?..gimme some great song (like this one)..fanboy's find another forum to argue..let's enjoy the tunes in here--!..

  • best song blur ever did in my opinion :)

  • I love this song! Parklife was the first cd I ever bought!!!!

  • The mind gets dirty, as you get closer to (40) lol ;-)

  • classic!!blur is god!!

  • they are brilliant!

  • 2:37 + fucking awesome!

  • she said thurr's ants in tha carpet,

    durty little monsters

  • Michael Cera's dad on drums? Easily looks like it.

  • Noel Gallagher is a douche but that doesnt mean his music is bad. Its just Blur owns them.

  • how much u wanna bet damon has strong leg muscles from jumping all the time

  • Stop comparing...tired of it really. The bands themselves have come out of that old battle, so why not the fans do the same, too? As I've said, just enjoy the music.

  • Hey hate oasis

  • BananaBitz its not about the indivduals of the bands its about the groups as a whole wtf has gorillaz got to do with anything ? i have seen both bands live and the raw energy at an oasis gig is amazing the blur following was spotty little students types. noel was writing songs at 13 yrs old thats why definetely maybe was the best album oasis did. And why not have a look at other projects by noel. gorillazs lmfao. p.s. noel has appologised for the aids remark remark but i stand by it

  • i like both oasis and blur but i think the die hard fans of oasis tend to judge blur by their hits such as parklife while blur fans tend to judge oasis on hits like wonderwall both of which are irritatatingly overplayed. Once they realise there's more to both bands beneath the surface they'll learn to appreciate them more

  • @Spinking11

Yeah I totally agree, the debate prevents each side from getting to know each other more. It's a pity 'cause both are great and of different styles for sure. And in fact the bands themselves are not fighting now, so hopefully the fans of both can calm down and just enjoy the music:)

  • I could careless about what Noel Gallagher says but honestly blur is better than oasis sure oasis had some great hits but blur is much better . Every song by blur is different something else while oasis is like listening to the same thing most of there songs seem similiar and dull to me.

  • the best band ever

  • Love the way Damon sings huddle! The whole bit from 1:07 - 1:15

  • a dont see why ever one ether oasis or blur whats wrong with likeing both of them

  • 0:00

  • fuuuuuuck you, wiggy and everybody else who doesn't accept the fact that Oasis is every single thing bad about the Beatles and abso fucking lutely none of the good things. What's good about KISS is what's good about Oasis.

  • I have to admit after years of being a pure Oasis fan I am beginning to appreciate Blur more and more these days.

  • Damon hotttttt.

  • what is the blur/oasis thing? blur is hot... like i get erections or whatever

  • Although I knew nothing at the 90s, but watching this makes me feel sad and nostalgic, how does this happen?

  • blur is back...

  • Just because two band hate each other why does everybody else care and then take sides do you think the bands would care?

  • I find it funny that the Oasis vs Blur debate is on EVERY Blur or Oasis video. My thing is this: I USED to like them both. Then i read an article where Noel Gallagher said he wished Damon and Alex would get AIDs and die. Bad form feuding brother of Oasis. The Gallagher brothers are children. And in the end... Where is Oasis now? Oh and Damon... hello Gorillaz. Someone is still around because they don't act like spoiled little Beatles wanna be's.

  • @BananaBitz

    FECK YEAH!

  • @BananaBitz Well said!!

  • @BananaBitz even that interview is soooo old, the argument is over and done nobody won, the scene faded

  • @BananaBitz

i prefer oasis's music, but i most certaintly prefer blurs attitude to music and other musicians

  • @BananaBitz so true!!

  • @BananaBitz suk a dik

  • @BananaBitz not really.... oasis broke up because noel got sick of liam being a dick, anyway noel played the royal albert hall couple months ago.... thats hardly 'not around anymore'.

even though saying that I like both oasis and blur... just don't like blur fans who slag off oasis....

  • @BananaBitz oasis have split up but they still lasted about 9 years longer than blur did. oh and noels doing solo material and liam has a new band called beady eye who sound quite good. and gorillaz the cartoon band is 4 children aint it?? i like blur but there not a patch on oasis, definitly maybe pisses all over any off blurs albums

  • @fleming140 1. Grammar. 'They're'. God, it's so sad how people try to make a good argument with terrible grammar. It throws off your entire fight, and makes you seem rather.. immature. 2. 'Beady Eye'? Who's heard of that? I'm sure it's the same load of shit Oasis was. 3. Damon, he's got Gorillaz (a revolutionary band), 2 OPERAS,worldwide recognition, etc. He's a true musical genius. If anything, Oasis is the ugly and unwanted piss-stain on all of the musical world. Right next to Bieber and Gaga

  • @123hellllllllllllllo how does using bad grammer make someone sound immature?? correcting peoples grammer makes you seem rather.... pathetic. If you knew anything about music you would realise that beady eye are getting critical acclaim from all corners offf the music industry. To call Oasis a piss stain on the music world and put them in the same sentence as Bieber and Gaga just shows your lack off musical knowledge. Definitly Maybe and Whats the Story are 2 off the best albums ever

  • @fleming140 It's called grammar and in fact, you are mispelling words more than you are making grammar mistakes. And I'm french and correcting you so shame on you !!!

  • @123hellllllllllllllo every song is good or better. something blur never achieved. Granted their singles are good but the rest off the material on their albums in all fairnesss is shite. Oasis even released a album full off all B sides called the masterplan. Try listening to that album then tell me if their still the piss stain on the music world? Getting a Opera 4music doesnt make you good, it just mkes you commercial and shows that posh twats who know nowt about music listen 2 ya

  • @fleming140 Thats bullshit, definetely maybe is a good album, but im not a big oasis fan, Beady eye will be same old same old beatles wannabe, the gallaghers are arrogant pricks, and liam is talentless, noel is talanted but still an arsehole, Gorrilaz are not for children if you listened to the lyrics you would no that.

    Blur shit on Oasis.

    deal with it you idiot

  • @fleming140 I normally stay outta these petty debates cuz quite frankly I like blur and oasis, just blur a bit more but... gorillaz "is for children"

WOOOW you've never heard gorillaz in your life have you? I'm a gorillaz fan and I'll tell you that the art, music, story and concept are anything but child oriented. their purpose is incredibly mature (despite Jamie Hewletts sense of humor). the messages behind the art and music are very deep and almost depressing at time. Not for kids, not at all

  • ahhhh JUST woooooow

  • oasis suck ? even though they have won more awards than blur. well done you ass clown

  • I honestly hate Oasis. But that's just my opinion.

But more power to those who find enjoyment in their boring music.

  • ALL the Britpop bands were and still are amazing. The 90's just incredible. It's the decade the gave us bands like OASIS, BLUR, Pulp, and Supergrass and geniuses like Noel Gallagher, Graham Coxon, and Damon Albarn. God I wish I could been alive then and living in England.

  • Thank you...can we have our singer back please...

  • caaaaaaaaaaaaaan you eat her? yes you caaaaaaaan!

  • i love the first two Oasis albums. They were just full of optimism and big hearted humanism, but beyond that they really had nothing else to say. Which is why i think Blur carried on making better music, whereas Oasis really burned out after the second album. The Importance of Being Idle was a good tune though. Blur made consistantly better records than Oasis, but Oasis for the first two years were my favourite of the two at the time

  • Be Here now is great

  • No one is right or wrong about the struggle between Oasis and Blur. They were, and still are fantastic bands, but if you don't like one of them, you'll always consider it rubbish, and the other one will be THE BEST, those are subjective opinions, if you know what I mean. I personally love both, and I can say, they're completely different, no need to compare them. It would be...useless.

Long live Blur and Oasis! :)

  • Well, Oasis is just rubbish.. I don't know how anybody could like them. They are immature people too. Unoriginal and just rip off their own songs. Blur is better and anybody that has a mind in their head should know that

  • This is an opinion of yours. You can't deny the obvious that Oasis have made part of the history of music during 90's (and on) along with other bands! I wouldn't underrate them so much. Otherwise, they wouldn't have had THIS success, those awards and so on. I'm taling objectively now.

  • great song

  • I actually hate Oasis.

To each his own, though. Just wish they wouldn't bring their arguments to the music.

  • tks, graham!

  • i would have given anything to be at that concert......lmao that stage-jump at the end..

  • @srwt1234

It was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I was front and center. He flew right over my head. Marvelous. I knew it was a bad idea to watch this...

  • it looks amazing...you were so lucky to be there mate,

  • they so rock it in every concert the y give---------XD

  • 1:01 Lol :D

    Love them

    Lyon was AMAZING

  • blur is great

  • Aye shame you cant speak or type English mate!!

  • oi jost love tho einglish auxent!! lol

  • its in this song we see one of the rare moments where blur create music of a class that oasis could never match.. if only they were more consistent

  • true but their return gig at glasto of this year just was electric. an energy oasis never had

  • @jmmypaddy

Oh, Oasis have had it, but it's more of a "you had to be there" sort of thing.

  • i consider that to be a moment band. bros is a moment in muic. may disagree but bros was popular at one stage and dies out. oasis were electric and now are not in terms of new records

  • @jmmypaddy i totally agree but damn I wish Blur Toured the States I wannna see Blur in AMerica but barely any AMericans here like Blur.... the majority has never heard of Blur Barely the BRitpop they know is OAsis .

  • @manwitgun55 lol , I'm finding it difficult enough finding Gorillaz gigs in Britain (and the one thats in Camden got sold out in 2 days :( )

  • @manwitgun55 yet the gorillaz are pretty huge here, nothing makes sense here lol

  • @jmmypaddy ha you should of seen the gigs in argentina in 2009

  • Missed Glasto but blursday hide park what i gig

  • @jmmypaddy obviously ya never was at knebworth or have never heard off it, am pretty sure the electric there was better than blur at glasto.

  • @fleming140 knebworth was a good gig but blur at glasto turned me from a die hard oasis fan who didn't listen to blur but an opinion to a blur fan who now enjoy both bands but i think i prefer blur more for interesting and inventive slant they put on music

  • I agree but to expect art to be consistent is a bit much, it becomes a process then and ceases to be art.

  • yeah your right it has a unique place and time like a poleroid after it diminishing returns, sad but true

  • a very special time in the uk not aprreciated til its gone

  • we ll say don't want to be alone (8)

  • b4 oasis i beleive.

  • yeah nevermind about the north south divide huh?

  • um no. you suck.

  • the 90's were the best times of my life. wish i could go back.

  • couldn't agree more

  • nice recording here. Sounds good for a live performance. This album is so close to my heart. I'm American. it should be like AcDC. And I'm not one of those dudes that trys to speak with an English accent or anything like that. This band resonates deep. Can't explain it more than that mate. Just kidding with the mate shit.

  • Damon is a genius......

  • can you eat her yes you can... !!!!

  • I'm afriad that looks like that is it from blur... unless they get roped in to more comeback gigs... but from what they said it sounded like they were pretty set on the hyde park gigs being their comeback gigs and that being it... they dont want to ruin it... (okay i am smug cos i went to hyde park..) but i would love to see them again but i fear it will never happen again...

  • I think Graham said he'd be willing to do more gigs. Albarn said he wanted to do this mainly to mend his relationship with Graham, so if Graham's up for more then I think there's at least a chance for a future for Blur.

  • damon's focused on monkey, theyre making a new movie for it, not to mention the olympics, then gragams still touring with peter doherty..... alex is making cheese.... i cant se it happenin

  • Id love to go to one of Blur's concerts in the next years. Cuz they started to do concerts again! WOHOOO! Coffee and TV Rocks. :D

  • You guys are right about the 90s but i was lucky enough to catch blur in July at tin the park in Scotland. 15 years on the scene and they still absolutely rocked the joint. not only that the guitarist discharged himself frm hospital 2 do the gig...LEGENDS

  • I went to a 90's indie night on the weekend and they played this to finish off. There were tears in people's eyes, it was awesome :)

  • i would love to have gone to a 90s indie night.

  • what a stage dive =) lol

  • haha. My form tutor is in this video XD at 0:26 shes on the right lol

  • wow, thats one cool ass teacher.

  • amazing at oxegen

  • brilliant tune from the 90's, loved it then and still do

  • Blur is the soundtrack of my life, this song takes me back to my teenage years... love this band so much.

  • my dream came true seeing these guys at T in the park =) amazing!!! <3

  • i really like blur more than other bands of that time including oasis because blur seems more unique and open to new things although i am a huge supergrass and pulp fan

  • yeah man. if you like those britpop bands you should give Suede a listen.

  • dey played for us a oxegen

    best performance

    in terms of standard

    voice entertainment

    i love use

    forget oasis

    i love blur

  • woow, you like oasis more than blur??

  • I quite like this, but I feel that the crowd, and people here aren't my people. I didn't grow up with Blur, I grew up with Oasis (who are still my favourite ever band) but of course it's possible to like both bands. Pretty good song. Heard they were great at T in the Park.

  • I really wish I was there :-/

  • I was at this gig back in 1994, and saw them at Hyde Park last week. Just a great band to have grown up with.

  • Been a pleasure growing up with them.

  • a personal fave...I even bought the t-shirt when they released it. It was skinny fit and at the time so was I. Friday was unbelievable. I feel 16 again!

  • spent the whole day listening to blur since the gig last night. still completely bowled over by them. god it was an epic gig. i'll never forget it. x

  • Same here, I don't want to go back to listening to non-Blur music now!

  • Totally agree, went on the Friday and they were awesome.

  • Fuck me were they! They weren't brilliant! They were phenominal!!!!

  • oh my god just saw blur at hyde park it was the most amazing gig, i am so happy and peaceful now ive seen them,i don;t have words it was amazing"!

  • Ive got the same feeling!!!

    They were brilliant yesterday!!!!

  • plus i new because the last time i looked glastonbury wasn't indoors and the pyramid stage doesn't have curtains ha..

  • I'm seein them this afternoon!

  • glasto 98.. i was there!!

  • This isn't a clip of Glastonbury '98. Unless you're just imparting some irrelevant information, and if you are, that's fine.

  • i no it isn't m8... i was just saying i was there.. i was only young though so i can't remember that much of it!!

  • thats was at t the ally pally mate1!! showtime....im gonna c them 2morrow!!!

  • oh right enjoy m8.. i defo need to see them again!

  • i love blur!! i love every song they have ever done!!!

  • i'd love to chuck myself into an adoring crowd.

But some idiots who criticise Damon and don't have any talent should chuck themselves onto the underground

  • LOVE

  • listening to this song after a long day at work and following a bank holiday drinking a nice cold beer

    life doesn't get much better!

  • apologies for grammatical error

  • damon and noel came from different places in geographically and socially. damon's commentary can't be compared to noel's raw ambition and observation. they did different things both producing very good music.

  • I LOVE this song!

  • blur were fucking brilliant!:)

  • are brilliant :)

  • lol, i get ya!:)

  • people always seem to forget about how brilliant a song writer and graham was as well as damon

  • Like in Coffee and Tv, one of the best Blur songs

  • damon albarn is a fucking genius

noel gallagher is a talented yobo

its such a shame that noels band is more succeful and popular than damons and better to be totaly honest

  • they are great ^^

    die sind geil ^^

  • You might be the only one in the Western world not to know that.

    LMAO, no offense.
