This is likely the only glimpse inside High Times that will ever get aired anywhere. There wasn't a consensus in the office as to whether a reality tv show was a good idea. Consequently, the real internal drama didn't make the show. The first Miss HT issue sold like hotcakes, and the show was very popular when it first appeared. Most of the negative commentary is manufactured disinfo that is centered on trying to keep HT's magic down.

Bobby Black adds is sleazy, and his column makes me cringe. It's shit like his article that makes me want to read a publication that isn't making cannabis users look like a bunch of low lifes. And Bobby Black is the poster boy for low life pot heads. Pretty lame that he wants to glorify petty competition in vanity rather than promoting vanity. Hager+Simunek really are the backbone of that publication.

A lot of the dialogue gets lost. Need a better shotgun mic or a boom. If the only drama going on at High Times is that Bobby's angry about his column then you've got a pretty boring situation. How about asking the staff which kind of weed they like to smoke...vapor vs. smoke...clear papers vs. regular...things you actually argue about. Then your audience can participate. I doubt anyone loses sleep over Bobby's column...except maybe Bobby. Fantastic intro. The rest needs serious work.
